Do you want to be part of a Global Infrastructure Operations Engineering Team? We are looking for a Network Engineer to join us to support Network and Core Infrastructure services for site rollout and continued operations. Our branches and end users' infrastructure access are crucial for Vestas.

Core Infrastructure & Network is part of Digital Technology Solutions reporting to the CIO of Vestas, where we are end-to-end responsible for the full stack Enterprise Network, from Global Access overall Network Security services to Data Center and Cloud Networking. We develop, deliver, and manage strategies, roadmaps, governance, and day-to-day operations driven by business demands and technology Knowledge.

 

With our vision "We Have You Covered," we support and promote Digitalization at Vestas through smooth and well-operated Network services. We work in Agile products and are end-to-end responsible for all network access services globally, and as an engineer, you'll engage in all stages of service, from design and development over implementation and roll out to governance and operations. As a Network Engineer, you'll combine your proficient Network Engineering capabilities with informed Operations Governance insight by working directly as well as guiding and mentoring your colleagues in the Operations team.

 

Responsibilities

As a Voice Operations Engineer, your initial key area is the continued rollout of infrastructure services through our continued (small and major) site rollout. These initiatives cover multiple platforms, where you'll Maintain our Global Platform.

  • Configure per design and standards
  • Participate in Roll Out Support

 

As you get more familiar with our infrastructure and process, you'll take part in the daily operations of our entire access platform handling incoming requests and incident tickets, acting on preventive monitoring and alerting, and engaging actively in our e2e products with the architects and engineers for the continued development of our services.

 

Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidates are responsible for the implementation, administration, and management of collaboration solutions such as, but not limited to, Cisco CUCM, CUC, UCCX, VG, CUBE, Webex, IP Phones, ATA
  • Candidates ought to have solid Cisco routing and switching/data/voice networking skills including SIP, MGCP, PRI, FXS/FXO, etc.
  • Creates and maintains detailed project plans, scopes of work, diagrams, and other technical documentation of the voice infrastructure
  • Candidates are responsible for creating, completing, and presenting acceptance tests such as User Acceptance Test
  • Provide timely project status updates to stakeholders, project managers, and IT infrastructure management
  • Conducts/develops proactive maintenance designed to ensure optimal performance of the voice network
  • Assist in planning for the future strategy of telephony and contact center
  • Carry out performance and statistical monitoring and develop procedures and best practices to improve the overall environment
  • Experience working in enterprise voice networks is required and the ability to work under time-sensitive environments and interface with senior management
  • Evaluate and maintain Telephony systems and design. Reviewing hardware, software, and vulnerabilities that may impact reliability and compliance
  • Provide timely recommendations and remediation maintaining voice infrastructure reliability and compliance
  • Collaborates with Product Owners, Technology Owner, Dev Team members, Architects, and Chapter Leads to assess
  • Telecommunication needs related to voice and data networks
  • Provides technical and administrative direction to peers by conducting training on IP Telephony, Contact Center, upgrades, and preventive maintenance
  • Implement and maintain processes, procedures, and associated plans for network infrastructure including administration, usage, and disaster recovery
  • Document standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials for use by the team

 

Qualifications

  • Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
  • Candidates need to have at least 3+ years of experience deploying, administering, or troubleshooting enterprise routing, switching,g or collaboration solutions
  • Professional certifications CCNA Voice, Collaboration, or equivalent are beneficial
  • Working knowledge of switches, routers, and collaboration solutions from Cisco or equivalent brand
  • Experience in managing Verba Recording and Farlon Switchboard is valuable
  • Knowledge of MS Teams Voice
  • Experience in programming languages like PHP, Python, etc.
  • Unix/Linux knowledge is beneficial
  • Experience with Network technologies such as DNS, DHCP, Cisco ISE, DNAC Wireless Local & Flex is valuable
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Splunk, and Wireshark judgment and solid decision-making skills
  • Good interpersonal skills/communication skills
  • Ability to work in a busy environment with minimal supervision
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight time constraints
  • Experience working with ServiceNow and the governance process is beneficial
  • Proficiency in English in speaking and writing is necessary
