Remote Operations Center Manila is part of Vestas Global Service. It is responsible for monitoring SCADA servers around the globe, ensuring data collection from wind parks is complete and accurate, and reducing customer network downtime.
Remote Operations Center Manila supports:
- Offsite IT Infrastructure alert monitoring for other wind parks across the globe to ensure connectivity of all the parks to the network, SCADA server is in working condition and Vestas critical services are running to minimize lost production factor of wind turbines
- Offsite network support assisting customers to make sure that they can connect to Vestas network
- Day-to-day data collection of every turbine located in all wind parks across the globe

Responsibilities
- A Network Engineer has the responsibility to:
- Facilitate wind farm integration to Vestas network
- Maintain network uptime by reactive remote troubleshooting
- User management for Cisco network devices
- High-quality support, i.e. short response time and high resolution rate
- Ticket handling (Receiving, documenting, prioritizing, and distributing service calls)
- Ticket resolution (incident resolution, request fulfillment)
- Provides inputs for continuous operations improvement
Qualifications
- Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT graduate, or equivalent
- Professional experience maintaining real-world production systems
- Maintain complex network designsPreferably Understanding Cisco ISE (LDAP, REST APIs), IPSec VPN, DMVPN, and device authentication (IEEE 802.1x)
- At least two (2) years of extensive experience with Cisco switches and routers (preferred industrial grade) experience and other vendors. CCNA (or equivalent) certification is desirable
- Two (2) to three (3) years of related experience in Incident Management and Troubleshooting
- Knowledge about Information Security and Risk Management is desirable
- Certification in ITIL v4 can be beneficial
Competencies
- Very good written and oral English communication skills
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills; personality
- Experience in supporting large-scale/global sites from a central remote location primarily in an IT Shared Service or Operations/Command Center environment
- Familiarity with Ticket Management tools/processes
- Required to work on shifting schedule - the team is supporting the business 24x7
- Emphatic yet able to build customer rapport; able to support people professionally including the management
- Highly organizational and able to make quick decisions in resolving critical incidents/issues
- Good reporting skills in both oral and written; experience in collaborating with different nationalities is necessary
- Able to travel abroad if needed by the position
