The Controlling and Reporting group is in charge of ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting. This includes compliance with the Company's Financial Guidelines while securing proactive engagement with stakeholders. The group also acts as a business partner for Regional, Project or Group stakeholders and makes sure that the financial activities based decisions are taken on a good financial business case which can and will be followed upon.

Responsibilities

  • Go-to-person of the VPS team regarding the owned activities ( i.e. proactively address issues, provide insights, and push business performance)
  • Business partnering (translation of business transactions/needs into financials/decision-making)
  • Focus on a higher level of analysis, transfer procedural activities to the SSC support team
  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting for externally funded projects to external funding bodies
  • Complete all audit documentation for financial reporting and liaise with auditors on queries involving partnership projects
  • Prepare and provide insights on time registration reporting for VPS. Sign off audit controls related to time registration
  • Prepare hourly rate analysis and provide insights to the business on findings noted. Signs off quarterly controls
  • Reviews rate maintained in the system and ensure that alignment is done based on
  • Prepares annual budget, coordinates with different functions, and finalizes by uploading in the budget tool
  • Prepares monthly allocation of the test rig and ensures proper posting in the system
  • Supports adhoc requests on reports used for analysis

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in any Finance, Accounting, Business or Management course
  • At least 5-7 years of work experience in Controlling & Reporting or equivalent finance function• Impeccable analytical skill relevant to financial analysis
  • Experience in financial reporting is desired
  • With advanced oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated and self-directed; with a good work ethic
  • Proficient in using applications such as Microsoft Office, SAP ERP and BI
  • Able to cope with change and work under ambiguous circumstances
  • Experience in business partnering

 

Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Financial understanding and budget responsibility
  • Ability to interact frequently with others in a professional, courteous manner
  • Ability to do effective business partnering and communication with both finance and non-finance professionals
  • Experience in budgeting and reporting financials with insights
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (data mining/analytics) and SAP Working knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment under matrix organization
