Intercompany Senior Finance Analyst

As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, The ICO Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for managing and resolving complex intercompany Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) issues across multiple entities. This role focuses on identifying discrepancies, driving resolution, and improving processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting within a global environment.

Responsibilities:
- Follow and uphold the governance structure and operating model for intercompany AR/AP
- Ensure personal adherence to defined processes, policies, and controls across all ICO activities
- Maintain and update ICO process documentation including SOPs and process flow maps
- Work closely with business users to ensure documentation reflects current practices and supports compliance
- Resolve complex Intercompany AR/AP discrepancies including root cause analysis and follow through of corrective & preventive actions
- Investigate and resolve aging items, unmatched transactions, disputes, and variances in a timely manner. Timely escalate issues to get the actions done
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring intercompany balances are accurate and fully reconcile and compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies
- Act as a go-to resource for resolving complex ICO AR/AP process issues, including:
- Invoice and Billing verification and processing
- Parked & IDOC Invoice Handling - Investigate and resolve discrepancies to enable proper postingo
- GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) Handling - Address and resolve GRIR-related issues
- Blocked Invoices Handling- Investigate and resolve blocking of invoices to proceed with settlement.
- Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and support process alignment. There is also a need to look at the E2E process of Settlements and Reconciliation in the Intercompany space.
- Provide insights and feedback to improve upstream and downstream processes. Identify opportunities for process improvement and share recommendations with peers and process owners
- Adhoc:
• Participate in global projects, system migrations, and new process setups
• Support ERP testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate process changes and system functionality
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with substantial experience in intercompany accounting, AR, and AP
- Demonstrated experience addressing complex financial discrepancies and coordinating issue resolution
- Solid understanding of reconciliation processes, financial close, and intercompany transactions
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S4 Hana or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, reconciliations)
- Experience in multinational or shared services environments
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
