The Infrastructure Operations Center (IOC) Product Team is a group responsible for the hybrid platform monitoring function, we will see both increased IT availability and increased process automation. The main benefit is to have control over this vital part of/for Vestas, and work with continuous improvement within IT Automation. The Monitoring function (IOC) is critical in Vestas going forward when it comes to platform and eventually Application monitoring.

 

Strategic goal supported:

  • Quality - by reacting faster on errors/Alerts for Vestas
  • Scalability - by standardizing and automating the monitoring processes, to hasten task completion
  • Higher end user experience - by faster resolution time

 

The outcome will be:

  • Increased reaction patterns/models and decreased risks exposure handling Incidents and events
  • Faster onboarding of new tools and processes by better use of automation
  • Assist smaller DevOps/Application teams to cover 24/7 monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
  • Monitoring infrastructure components on-premise and in the cloud

Responsibilities

  • Performing daily system activities. Jointly with a team that provides 24/7 operational services
  • 2nd level support for issues related to infrastructure including IaaS and PaaS components
  • Performs system checks and basic maintenance plans
  • Identifies and resolves system operating problems and determines the cause of the system interruptions
  • Eventually, assist DevOps/Application Teams in creating and handling monitoring and troubleshooting tasks
  • Assist in coordination and resolution of problems
  • Create document procedures and operational workflows
  • Windows AND/OR Linux Operating System proficiency

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in Microsoft Azure working with IaaS and PaaS in Microsoft Azure, such as Managed SQL webapps, etc.
  • Knowledge in SQL administration and IIS administration
  • Knowledge on Grafana, Kubernetes, and Dynatrace
  • Thorough experience with the ability to incorporate the information onto a software program used in the fabrication
  • Knowledge/Experience on Service Now Ticketing Platform
  • Documentation and administration/coordination skills

  • Experience in 24/7 monitoring setup and basic troubleshooting
  • Knowledge in Incident/Request Management and Problem Management
  • Automation mindset
  • Skilled in engaging with other teams in joint troubleshooting
  • Effective collaborator with good communication skills
  • Experience from working in DevOps organizations
