IT/OT License manager

You will join our Vestas IT/OT Competency Center in Manila. We are accountable for providing IT and OT competencies, services, and support for our Global IT organization.

This position will optimize our License management capability to bring our IT/OT services delivery to the next level, collaborating with key stakeholders both in Global IT and beyond to ensure alignment and one Vestas scalable governance which secures the best possible use of our solutions licenses investment. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting environment in an instrumental role to do well in the journey that Vestas Digital Solutions is on.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building a cohesive team and organizing it effectively, including the skill to coach and develop the team
• Support Software License management processes and related daily operations
• Understand and implement internal contractual entitlement and support reviews (analysis of contractual, financials, related documentation, etc.)
• Collaborate with internal customers at all levels such as procurement, technical team members, legal, senior management, program, and product management, product marketing, etc. to assess and optimize our IT/OT software licenses usage, realize synergies and economies of scale, determine compliance with entitlements, agree on solutions for non-compliance, etc.
• Create and maintain the related product use questionnaires to be used during compliance assessments, monitoring the effectiveness of our compliance tools, and supporting the development of new features and functionalities to improve compliance coverage
• Understand the software technology, licensing, compliance, and controls
• Support when requested: software licenses audit and remediation activities, software true-ups, etc.
• Ensure creation and updates of the license details in the relevant ITSM SAM Tool
• Support processes associated with software whitelists and blacklists

Qualifications

To do well with the above responsibilities, we envision that you hold a relevant degree (IT, Science, Economics, Business Administration, or similar) combined with the following:

• A team-oriented person used to be part of SAM teams
• 4+ years of experience in IT software license management, both with technical and contractual exposure
• Skilled technically in contract interpretation, and organizational and negotiation skills
• Experience with ITSM SAM tools & CMDB,s (Service Now, Flexera, SNOW, etc.)
• Understanding of license types and license counter calculations (PVUS, CALS, cloud, subscription, perpetual, user, concurrent, etc.

• Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and interpret nuances of software license agreements and contracts
• A high degree of flexibility and commitment is needed to adapt to an innovative environment in a matrix organization
• Test and ask questions about the processes and surroundings
