Finance Shared Service Center is comprised of various Finance functions that support Vestas globally. These functions include Purchase to Pay, Travel and Expense, Account to Report, Cash Management, Compliance, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Costing and Inventory, Master Data Management and the Finance Controlling team. This team is expected to have close collaboration with Regional Finance, Payroll, Factory Controllers, Treasury, Procurement, Digital Solutions, and other functions within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Support a functional team of about 30-50 employees. Have the ability to empower, coach, develop, and engage people for better collaboration and performance output
  • Create a strategy for the function (1-3 years ambition) that would match the current priorities of the company
  • Drive standardization across various regions in Vestas. Automate as much as possible manual activities
  • Create fit-for-purpose KPIs for the function and drive discussions among affected stakeholders
  • Identify process improvements and resolutions for control gaps. Coordinate change within the organization
  • Ensure that the Financial operations meet the statutory requirements and global financial guidelines of Vestas
  • Ability to act as business partners across various groups in Finance to turn insights into actions and make important decisions

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Finance or Management course, preferably in Masters Degree. Preferably with CPA, CMA, CIA, etc certification
  • With a significant background in Finance functions like Purchase to Pay, Account to Report, Fixed Assets, Travel & Expense, Master Data, Controlling, Cash Management, Intercompany, Costing, and Inventory
  • With at least 3-5 years of leadership experience in handling functional teams 
  • With experience in handling process improvement initiatives, migration, and digitization
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop strategies for the function
  • Demonstrated Project and Change Management abilities; Lean Six Sigma training or certification is beneficial
  • Champions customer focus - establish solid working relationships within the team and stakeholders
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principle & Cost Accounting Standards. Experience in SAP is beneficial

  • Three-plus years of leadership experience especially in handling big teams/functions
  • Good communicator or storyteller. Ability to influence others
  • High degree of flexibility to adjust to varying timezones and possible changes in scope
  • Problem-solving skills and creative thinking to promote standardization, efficiency, and digitization agenda
  • Leadership behaviors that would match Vestas' values of simplicity, accountability, commitment, and collaboration
  • Change management experience who can drive changes within the organization
  • High stakeholder management and ability to influence, and facilitate decisions from insights
  • A leader and having a "can do" attitude; a focused person in a complex, demanding and fast-paced environment
