The role leads the Intercompany (IC) Accounting team particularly AR/AP Settlements within Vestas' Record to Report Finance function at the Manila Shared Service Center. It involves supporting the transition of ICO activities and improving the ICO Settlements process.

 

The position requires an experienced finance professional that worked in a leadership position in GBS or shared services organizations showing a combination of solid operational finance understanding, transformation experience and leadership skills that can improve the ICO team’s performance.

 

The role will be under the Finance team of Vestas Shared Service Center. Intercompany team will be reporting to the Head of Record to Report that will support Vestas globally while the senior team lead will report to a manager leading both Intercompany and Fixed Asset teams. As a senior team lead, you are responsible for overseeing the organization's intercompany transactions ensuring accurate invoicing and billing that will result to compliant and accurate intercompany records. The role is expected to collaborate actively with colleagues and stakeholders across different time zones.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of approximately 8-12 employees, creating a collaborative, high-performance, and accountable work environment
  • Plan, organize, and allocate workload effectively to ensure operational efficiency and the timely delivery of all financial outputs
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and direct problem-solving support, ensuring high quality deliverables and proactive resolution of issues
  • Ensure strict compliance with established processes, policies, and internal controls, including the documentation, adherence to, and continuous maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Serve as the primary operational escalation point for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring inquiries and issues are addressed accurately and within agreed service levels
  • Monitor, analyze, and track team performance against KPIs and SLAs, identifying operational risks, performance gaps, and corrective actions as needed
  • Manage people and administrative responsibilities, including work scheduling, leave and overtime approvals, onboarding support, training coordination, and participation in performance evaluations, in alignment with company policies
  • Identify, recommend, and support process improvements, standardization efforts, and control enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service quality
  • Participate in or lead cross functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the team, the Shared Services Center, or the broader organization
  • Align team objectives with functional and SSC operational plans, ensuring contributions support overall business and strategic goals

Specific to Intercompany:

 

  • Keep the financial numbers accurate and up to date for the year, by cleaning up ageing items in ICO
  • Ensure that pre-month end issues of ICO are identified and addressed. Collaborate with General Ledger team and Finance Controllers in ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of financial numbers
  • Ensure strict adherence to pre-determined calendar for month-end and period-end close
  • Ensure that proper documentation and records for ICO are adhered to in accordance with compliance requirements. Handle internal and external audit requests
  • Provide subject matter knowledge to the ICO team as well as the Head of ATR where required
  • Leading efforts to improve processes and planning resources as required

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Management, or a related field; accounting graduates
  • 5-8 years of relevant finance experience, ideally within a Shared Services or BPO environment, or in roles involving cross cultural collaboration; particularly in Intercompany or AR/AP
  • 3-5 years of people leadership experience, including team supervision, performance management, coaching, and employee development; particularly in Intercompany or AR/AP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Background in using ERP systems, with SAP experience viewed favorably
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and resolve issues efficiently in an environment with shifting priorities
  • Experience working in a BPO or shared services setup and with global stakeholders; demonstrates flexibility in work schedules to support different regions

Main KPI's

 

  • Delivery of agreed operational KPIs:

 

    • Intercompany Recon: 100% reconciliation of all trading partners intercompany P&L account
    • Intercompany Payables: Continuous improvement of overdue payables between intercompany (in value) and count of line items (baseline to be determined)
    • Intercompany Settlements
    • ICO AP: Continuous improvement of GR/IR aging >90 days (in value) and count of line items (baseline to be determined)
    • ICO AR: 0% unbilled items at month-end and timeliness of billing
    • ICO Cash App: 100% timeliness and accuracy of cash application
    • ICO Sales Order: 100% timeliness and accuracy of sales order creation

 

  • Service Now:

 

    • Resolution time (without dependency) <3 days
    • Full closure of all tickets (within control) raised by WD -5, and
    • Positive customer satisfaction rating of at least 4 out of 5

 

  • On-time and In-full compliance to control sign-off including closure of all audit requests and observations during statutory and yearend group audit. No medium to high severity risk audit observations (within our control)
  • Attrition rate of below 15% and well-planned back up system for the team in case of attrition
  • Compliance to specified budget for the year (actual spending should be less than the budget for the year)
  • Efficiency/Absorption target of 10% headcount
  • Positive satisfaction rate and feedback from key internal stakeholders and customers. No escalations from stakeholder within our control
