The Controlling and Reporting group is in charge of ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting. This includes compliance with the Company's Financial Guidelines while securing proactive engagement with stakeholders. The group also acts as a business partner for Regional, Project, or Group stakeholders and makes sure that the financial activities-based decisions are taken on a good financial business case that can and will be followed.

Responsibilities

  • VPS Finance Support (60%)
    • Finance Support for Project Controllers, Project Managers, and Business Partner Managers
    • Processing of requests from the above-mentioned stakeholders including but not limited to transfer of hours, costs, project closing, and coordinating other inquiries to other teams if the request is out of scope
    • Perform/Coordinate finance month-end closing-related activities such as manual reclass, accruals, and cost review
    • Perform management reports needed by different business stakeholders
    • Perform SOX compliance tasks (internal)
    • Responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining efficient and cost-effective process controls
    • Perform month-end tasks - cost reclass activities, provisions, and other requests if the need arises
  • Finance Business Partnering (20%)
    • Reaching out to Project Managers, Regional Stakeholders, and Project Controllers when in need of clarification on their requests or tasks
    • Assist/Liaise with project managers on other concerns outside project finance (PO and invoice-related concerns, etc)
    • Support and respond to inquiries and questions from Project Managers and Finance Business Partner
  • Processes and Knowledge (20%)
    • Take initiative to improve processes related to Project Controlling
    • Contribute to Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvements across VPS Finance

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy or Management Accounting or any Finance or Business-related courses
  • Preferably with at least 3 yrs to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit preferably in controlling and reporting or relevant role (inventory, supply chain, project accounting, manufacturing finance, etc.) and have participated, led, and implemented an improvement initiative or project
  • Experience in shared service set-up is desired but not required and open to working shifts/schedule
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PPT, etc)
  • Knowledge in using reporting tools such as SAC, PowerBI, and Analysis for Office
  • Knowledge of using SAP ERP

 

Competencies

  • Has a good finance, audit, or accounting background
  • Has knowledge on accounting guidelines and principles such as IAS and GAAP, IFRS
  • Knowledgeable in process documentation, simplification, and standardization
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of using ERP (SAP) systems (preferred)
  • Excellent in communication, stakeholder management, and business partnering
