The role is part of the SSC Controlling and Reporting (C&R) Department within Finance, which supports Vestas' Regional Finance organizations by delivering value-added financial services, high-quality reporting, and analytical insights. The department plays a key role in enabling informed decision-making across the business through consistent financial data, transparency, and reliable service delivery.
Within the C&R Department, Finance Analysts play a critical role in ensuring the correct, timely, and transparent allocation of freight-related costs across multiple functional areas and regions. The team supports freight cost accounting and reporting activities, including invoice monitoring and cost allocations, to ensure accurate Profit and Loss reporting and financial transparency.
This role works closely with Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance Controllers, Accounts Payable and Regional stakeholders to ensure freight costs are fully captured, properly allocated, and aligned with accounting policies and performance requirements.

Responsibilities
Finance Analyst's activities are split into process areas as follows:
- Ensure accurate and timely allocation of freight costs across all Vestas Regions and relevant functional areas, in line with group accounting policies/controls, and performance targets (SLAs, KPIs, OPIs)
- Perform regular monitoring of freight-related invoices, including invoice posting status, completeness, and correctness, in close coordination with Accounts Payable and other stakeholders
- Maintain and deliver monthly freight cost allocation and monitoring reports, providing transparency and clear insights to Finance Controllers and Regional Stakeholders
- Handle non-recurring and exception-based activities, including issue investigation and resolution of allocation or posting issues
- Regularly communicate identified issues and status updates to relevant stakeholders and participate in meetings to ensure timely resolution
- Identify and implement process improvements within freight cost accounting and reporting, including documentation and updates to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support audits and internal reviews by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis related to freight cost allocations and financial impact
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy/ finance/ business management or related area
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in any equivalent finance functions. Working experience in shared services or outsourcing organizations is beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Practical experience with ERP systems; SAP and SAP-BI experience
- Working experience in shared services set-up and/or with other cultures. Shows flexibility towards work shift schedule depending on the region catered, and is willing to extend during the month-end close as needed
Competencies
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and able to apply them to day-to-day operations
- Effective communication skills, particularly in the English language, both oral and written. The ability to generate insights and perform analytics is beneficial
- Possess solid problem-solving skills relevant to the role and able to address and follow through on issues until resolution
- Solid organizational skills and ability to manage recurring deliverables alongside ad hoc requests
- Experience in effective documentation and process mapping, supporting process clarity and standardization
- Exhibits initiative, curiosity, growth mindset, simplicity, and willingness to learn
- Cooperates with colleagues and is able to organize their own tasks; motivated and resourceful; able to handle new challenges in a complex, demanding environment
- Good customer service mindset, but able to challenge any deviations or non-compliant requests
