You will join our new Vestas IT/OT Competency Center in Manila. We are accountable for providing digital competencies, services, and support for our Global IT organization.

This position will supervise a small team that will enable Global IT to design the learning & development processes and contents to ensure democratized development opportunities within our recently created Digital Solutions unit, by designing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating employee development plans and programs to support our organizational needs, enabling groups to work and collaborate more effectively and achieve synergy. We seek to increase career visibility and enable focused development through a learning curriculum. You will have the opportunity to work in a complex environment in an instrumental role to achieve goals in the journey that Vestas Digital Solutions is on.

  • Define and facilitate the most impactful learning and development initiatives that will enable an agile and hard-working workforce within the Vestas Digital Solutions IT/OT technology space, building an effective internal pipeline for critical specialist positions in our digital functions, and defining how our early career initiatives for employees (i.e: tech academies...) continuously ensure a suitable match between our business strategy enablement needs and our internal workforce competencies growth
  • Support our high focus Digital transformation journey by providing our digital workforce with the right expertise and development opportunities to enable Vestas To-Be Digital capabilities, IT/OT technologies, and leadership skills
  • Assess the Digital organizational needs, developing and implementing training activities directed at employees' competencies (i.e. leadership, functional, technical, teamwork, management skills, problem-solving, etc.)
  • Monitoring employee development and training programs to ensure optimization and effectiveness
  • Content curating, storyboarding, designing, developing, and deploying training programs in various modalities with the required resources and target groups
  • Aspiration to collaborate with other teams across the value chain to synergize and optimize our Digital Learning and Development assets, leveraging the tools in place and potentially re-using or upgrading content already created
  • Team-oriented person. Silos breaker

  • Experience at the time of scaling up with partners and suppliers if needed


To achieve your goals with the above responsibilities, we envision that you hold a relevant master´s degree and a background as a people or business leader, HR partner, or Learning and Development specialist combined with the following:

  • Proven history of creating innovative learning and development initiatives that enable organizational learning and performance, for example within the technology and digital industry, in global companies such as complex or energy-related industries (e.g. OEMs, Utilities, Infrastructure, and Development, etc.)
  • Solid business and commercial understanding
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position(s) working with global teams of varying levels of experience
  • Ability to understand our Digital transformation journey and how it will enable Vestas' strategy, translating it into specific short and mid-term initiatives that will compose your agenda, which will be agile and able to be quickly adapted accordingly to the learnings obtained
  • Fluent in English
  • Cross-cultural understanding (DK, IN, PH...)
  • Good customer focus


You are used to encouraging, enthusiastic, and motivated with and identify yourself as having the following:

  • Ability to supervise with intent, translating Digital Solutions intent into IT/OT Digital learning and development needs
  • Has energy, perseverance, and judgment, particularly when working with senior stakeholders under tight deadlines
  • Define target KPIs in order to monitor E2E performance and trigger the corresponding corrective actions
  • Focus and well-organized personality
  • Ability to blend into multicultural teams remotely
  • Ability to think critically and consistently adjust as needed based on business priorities and the company's overall best interests and direction
  • Self-starter, the capacity of dealing with ambiguity, high degree of flexibility and professionalism needed to adapt to a progressive environment in a matrix organization
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with IT and OT stakeholders within the Digital function and beyond across Vestas
