The role is primarily responsible for providing SOC Tier 2 Security Incident analysis to ensure that Vestas Microsoft and other security applications/platforms are monitored and operated and that tickets related to Microsoft, and McAfee-based security services are handled.

 

Enterprise Cyber Security > Global Security Operations Center > Security Operations Center - APAC

 

Responsibilities

  • Train, coach, mentor, and groom Tier 1 analysts in the SOC
  • Update and improve Security Operations playbooks used in the SOC
  • Continuously work to baseline the SIEM platform, and update correlation rules and watchlists to improve detection efficiency
  • Implement support for new data sources, build and modify parsing rules, and verify data collection and retention works as intended
  • Oversee incident response process, incl. engagement with service- and process owners, management, and impacted users during the incident response phase
  • Perform lessons learned following incident closure activity

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in IT or related technical area
  • Fluent in English oral and written
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A deep passion for cybersecurity
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with Security Operations
  • Firsthand experience with some of below technologies:
    • Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM) platform
    • McAfee EDR/Active Response
    • Elasticsearch, Logstash & Kibana (ELK)
    • Malware Intelligence Sharing Platform (MISP)
    • Tenable or OpenVAS Vulnerability management
    • ServiceNow Security Operations (Security Incident Management & Vulnerability Management modules)
    • Windows and Linux operating systems
    • Microsoft Office365/Azure Protection services
    • Computer networking, firewalls, and routing
    • Python or PowerShell scripting languages
