The team is under Global Finance of Vestas Shared Services Centre.


Fixed Asset is mainly responsible for Capitalizing Purchase of Fixed Asset, Data Maintenance, Regular Performance of Depreciation, Monitor and Control Asset Transfer and closing of FA module as well as Month End/Quarter End/Year End preparation of Financial Package. This also includes proper implementation of IFRS 16 or Lease Accounting. The person is expected to have close collaboration with Regional Finance, as well as functions in SSC such as AP, General Ledger, Intercompany & Control

  • Be up to date on the professional and IT-technical development within Fixed Assets and bring relevant improvement proposals forward to the SSC Management
  • Assess major changes in process and operational scopes which will require cross-function assessment (RF / LoB / HQ) and provide sign-off for items that impact Operations within their functional scope and present to Sr. Mgr for approval
  • Ensure that team meets the requirements of the Law and the requirements of the auditors according to the recorded materials and the internal controls instructed by the Vestas compliance policies ready to be presented to Sr. Managers for final review
  • Ensure execution of processes for own team in accordance with good practice and service delivery requirements and securing a valid data output for further analysis
  • Keep process flows for country exceptions up to date, well-documented and described in the global repository
  • Improve knowledge sharing related to specific processes within own team
  • Participate in knowledge sharing with other team leads
  • Initial workload assessment and recommendation on utilization strategy of resources
  • Guide the daily huddle to review the progress of Month End Reporting ensuring that everything will be completed on time
  • Ensure that SOX documentation has been completed, reviewed and finally approved for submission to the Compliance team
  • Develop efficient stakeholder relationships by ensuring escalations are supervised effectively and effectively and elevating them further as and when necessary
  • Support team on monthly operational calls and ensure that issues and support needed from stakeholders are raised
  • Supervise and support team on projects/initiatives/process improvements for Global Fixed assets
  • Handle a team of approximately 8 direct reports and direct team engagements to improve collaboration
  • Set SMART goals for your own team annually and ensure monthly monitoring via CPD discussion
  • Responsible for implementation of business continuity plan backup system
  • Prepare and discuss performance appraisal of team members. Perform coaching and mentoring



  • Graduate of BS Accountancy / Finance Course
  • With a solid financial background in Fixed Assets, General Accounting, Reporting or Controlling
  • With at least 1 - 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • With Shared Service/ BPO and migration experience



  • With certifications (i.e. CPA, CMA, CIA etc.) but not required
  • Green belt trained or with knowledge in process improvement methodologies but not required
  • With good leadership skills and the ability to influence and inspire others
  • With good communication skills
  • Problem solving-oriented
  • Flexible and willing to work on holidays as needed and, on any shift, as may be assigned
  • With positive behavior and attitude. Can blend well with different kinds of personalities
  • With knowledge of using ERP systems
