The ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME) has a broad and deep knowledge covering the ServiceNow platform and will be the go-to person for technical platform matters. You are the one who naturally takes the responsibility of encouraging improvements to the platform and looking into untapped opportunities. You are essential for ensuring seamless and optimal partnership between projects/developers, architects, support, and platform operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise work covering designing, developing, configuring, testing, and deploying supporting solutions for the ServiceNow platform
  • Work closely with architects and external vendors to ensure top-of-class ServiceNow solutions
  • Supervise efforts to ensure coordination with multiple projects at the same time
  • Initiate collaborating on small-to-large scale projects with minimal supervision
  • Communicating with clients, using problem-solving skills, and proposing solutions
  • Develop test cases for functional, regression testing, UAT testing, resolution of reported defects and perform integration testing with sample and live data
  • Oversee the responsibility for the health of the ServiceNow platform and promote optimization initiatives
  • Direct a continuous improvement cycle optimizing ways of working with development/projects and support within DevOps (QA on technical documentation, QA on technical documentation, Improve and optimize documentation and Ensure smooth transition of handover from development/project to support)
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and remediation for integration, system, reporting, and data issues
  • Coordinate the version upgrade/clone process


Qualifications

  • You may come with a background from a central architect/SME position in a large company or from an implementation partner with broad and deep experience
  • Degree in Computer science, MIS or equivalent
  • Highly IT literate (IT drivers)
  • A minimum of (3) years of experience with ServiceNow development
  • Technical solutions architecture and Project management experience
  • A certification as ServiceNow Administrator and Application developer
  • Fluent in English oral and written
  • Understanding of the set of IT Services provided to enterprises by a global IT organization and the IT infrastructure technologies that support and enable them

       Deep knowledge required:

  • Integrations via REST
  • JavaScript
  • Flow designer
  • The ServiceNow data model

       Ideally a broad experience with:

  • ITSM Pro
  • Integration hub enterprise spokes 
  • HR Service delivery Pro
  • Workplace Service delivery
  • Security operations (SIR)
  • Vulnerability response (VR)
  • App Engine
  • ATF
