The Digitalization and Processes team is an off-shore team functioning under the Digitalization and Processes department within Global Procurement. We are responsible for handling source-to-pay and other procurement support processes, and providing technical and operational support to key system platforms such as SAP Ariba and Procurement Master Data. We also support different project initiatives related to digitalization and automation and engage with the different Category Teams, Regional Procurement Organizations, Global IT, and Group & Regional Finance in bringing global implementation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Handle direct reports, ensuring both the professional and personal development of the Procurement Master Data team
  • Develop processes to celebrate success, maintain performance levels, improve engagement and handle poor performance
  • Review staffing structure including a span of control and ability levels
  • Handle, maintain and measure procurement data quality relating to all procurement master data - including but not limited to vendor master, purchase info records, source list
  • Work with all segments to define and establish the overall master data management strategy and approach data quality control
  • Design, develop, implement and handle standards, templates of technical tools, training documentation and staff training on all necessary areas of Master Data
  • Generate detailed extraction, cleansing and reporting necessary to satisfy all requirements and oversee data corrections when required
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of Master Data elements which exist in multiple segments
  • Implement effective key processes around the maintenance of master data including additions, deletions and modifications
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to continually improve the quality of master data management systems, processes and standards
  • Take a "hands-on" approach to cleansing data; resolving data-related issues through solid skills in root cause analysis
  • Define and maintain master file data change management processes including workflow, decision and change rights tracking and change impact analysis

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience combined with relevant education in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or similar
  • Solid business understanding and knowledge of core processes covering the entire value chain of a complex global manufacturing company
  • Experience from working in an international company/matrix organization with high complexity
  • Solid experience in SAP Procurement and Vendor Master Data
  • Experience with (master) data models, and use of (master) data within the various business processes and IT systems
  • Good technical knowledge of business and IT processes and project expectations
  • Experience with SAP MDG and SAP Ariba

 

Competencies

  • An initiator, with diligence in processes, and a desire for solutions to run optimally
  • Extensive experience in change and stakeholder management in a Master Data Manager role
  • Experience in handling, supervising, engaging and developing people; can mentor and coach junior members of the team
  • Ability to improve and influence a team
  • Take ownership and effectively engage in continuous improvements within a broader perspective
