External Manufacturing Controlling

 

Description

The controllership role in Vestas plays a very important part in the current growth strategies of the company globally. Exposure to Management, both Head Quarters & Manuf. Plants while dealing with monthly recon, controlling analysis, SOX & compliance processes will be imminent & crucial in the role. 
 
Global Finance - SSC
The team is under Global Finance of Vestas Shared Services Centre. The Controlling and Reporting group is basically in charge of responsibilities which ensures costing, controls, inventory reconciliation processes and accrual management is in place and is working in preparation for SOX Compliance and internal and external reporting readiness. It is basically implementation of value-based management of the company's financials. For this opening, it is focused on Supply and Service Order Intake process and reporting, and Sales and P&L Actual and Forecast Reconciliation and Analysis. Business Performance Management in particular as well as with the other functions in SSC such as AP/AR/TE & General Ledger.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing deep dive controlling and root cause analysis of the actuals for the external production
  • Ensure correct actuals and perform corrective actions if necessary
  • Perform SOX controls according to requirements from Global Compliance
  • Support and respond on inquires and ad hoc tasks from Finance Business Partner, Manufacturing Finance and External Towers and Blades PPL
  • Responsible for preparing Budget and Forecast for the external production and follow up on deviations
  • Perform monthly closing tasks for the external production
  • Responsible for delivering transparent and action-oriented reporting to Finance Business Partner, Manufacturing Finance, highlighting value drivers, risks and challenges
  • Support other in country specific tasks regarding tax, legal, compliance, audit and any ad hoc tasks
  • Take initiative to improve processes related to Manufacturing Finance
  • Contribute to Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvements across Regions and COO area

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience
  • Experience around accounting, budgeting, planning and auditing
  • Proficient in SAP, BI, Excel or other ERP systems

The Controlling organization is a "white space" organization where the Service Center in Manila will have a lot of room to define and improve the process, and is therefore one of the roles being looked at intently by management to leverage heavily. Controlling is a unique specialized role unlike the more common Finance roles like GL, AR/AP, Banking and is therefore a unique source of a specialize skill set
 
Additional information:
Work will be in Mid-shift but may be requested to come earlier in critical days i.e. 11AM. Primary location will be in MOA.
