Data Management & Analytics, part of Vestas Global IT, is responsible for improving Data Governance and Data Quality Management across Vestas to support continuous improvement of data quality and data lifecycle management. As a centralized unit, we aim to ensure alignment, communication, and collaboration within data governance & management across the value chain. Data Management & Analytics is a strategic area within Vestas Global IT with the goal of becoming an increasingly relevant partner in business-critical solutions relying on data.

 

Data Management is part of the Data Management & Analytics team within Vestas Global IT with the goal of enabling accurate data-driven decisions across the value chain where the organization gets value from its data assets. We have a long tradition within master data quality management, but we are continuously expanding our scope and capabilities to meet current and future business needs supporting the overall vision of maintaining Vestas' position as number 1 in the sustainable energy business.

Responsibilities

  • As a Data Governance Consultant, you will have a solid focus in partnering with the business to motivate the continuous improvement of operational processes to support data governance and data quality as well as cross-functional alignment of master data within Vestas
  • Key subject-matter expert primarily responsible for maintaining the master data governance framework, vision and strategy and guiding the agreed data ownership and accountability within the business
  • Develop and maintain MDM vision and strategy, processes & policies
  • Provide operational support to the data management platform and enable data owners in the implementation, execution, monitoring, and enforcement of data governance within Vestas
  • Implement the Data Quality Management Program across the business; from report development to the conclusions and improvement cycle
  • Support the business stakeholders in cross-functional master data standardization, and data quality improvement initiatives actively
  • Support Master Data-related projects, tools implementation, systems and processes optimization and standardization
  • Solid change agent and communicator for MDM within Vestas, enables continuous commitment and awareness for MDM

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Management & Data Governance combined with a relevant education in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or similar, which gives you an efficient, fact-based approach to your tasks
  • Solid experience in MDM & Data Quality
  • Experience with (master) data models, and use of (master) data within the various business processes and IT systems
  • ERP (preferably SAP), workflow and MS SharePoint experience
  • Good technical knowledge of business and IT processes and project expectations
  • Understanding of external factors influencing data governance such as competitors, regulatory requirements, best-in-class practices and economic

 

Competencies

  • Good knowledge of the latest trends within Master Data Management, Data Governance & Data Quality, processes, and systems including SAP and MDM/MDG or other Data Governance tool/solution
  • Good communication & stakeholder management skills; facilitates a constructive dialogue with functions and key stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate across the organization and create good relations and networks
  • Take ownership and effectively engage in continuous improvements within a broader perspective
