Then you might be the new star we are looking for to join our BTP technology team in the innovation platform area to contribute to our efforts in clean and scalable core by building and operating modern applications and extensions using SAP BTP and other modern technologies

Innovation Platform & services aims to partner across the organization to support product and platform teams providing best-of-the-breed applications and extension services for our core platforms like SAP ERP. We are an enabler to provide technical platforms, tools, technology, and frameworks for application and extension development.

Innovation platform & services are part of Vestas' newly established Digital Solutions organization responsible for driving end-to-end digitalization of Vestas over the coming years. As part of the Products and Platform Area, we co-build with product delivery teams within and beyond Digital Solutions to enable digitalization with best-of-the-breed applications and APIs using modern architecture and technology frameworks. you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP Business Technology Platform solutions to support our business processes and digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Developer with hands-on experience in developing and operating applications in BTP technology. As a key member of our BTP technology team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern applications on the BTP platform.

• Build, operate, and maintain end-to-end solutions using SAP BTP, ensuring alignment with business requirements
• Customize and extend SAP Fiori applications to enhance user experience
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business processes and integrate SAP BTP solutions seamlessly
• Develop and implement SAP Cloud Platform applications, including backend services and APIs
• Configure and optimize SAP HANA databases for the performance and scalability of applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support SAP BTP-based applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP BTP solutions
• Work closely with front-end developers to integrate APIs into web and mobile applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot and debug API-related issues, ensuring seamless operation
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and services in BTP area to ensure the continuous improvement of our applications and extensions
• Stay updated with the BTP security best practices

Qualifications

To succeed with the above responsibilities, we envision that you hold a relevant bachelor's or master's degree (IT, Technology, Engineering, Science, Business Organization, or similar) combined with the following:

• Proven experience as a SAP developer with knowledge of the SAP ecosystem and technologies
• Experience as an SAP BTP Application Developer and willing to learn and advance your career in BTP space
• Experience in SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP Cloud Platform development
• Knowledge of SAP HANA database development and optimization
• Experience with SAP Business Application Studio and SAP Business Application Programming Model (CAP)
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud SDK for Java or Node.js
• Familiarity with SAP BTP services such as SAP Integration Suite and SAP Mobile Services
• Understanding of SAP security and authorization concepts
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills
