The team is under Global Finance of Vestas Shared Services Centre. As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the team is primarily responsible in providing standardized, rule-based services to the region. This refers to the end-to-end processes of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Travel & Expenses. Collaborates with Regional Finance, Treasury and other SSC functional areas to ensure issues and concerns are addressed positively and in accordance within prescribed deadlines.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Follow and uphold the governance structure and operating model for Accounts Payable
  • Ensure personal adherence to defined processes, policies, and controls across all AP activities
  • Maintain and update AP process documentation including SOPs, process flow maps, invoice requirements, and invoice management procedures
  • Work closely with business users to ensure documentation reflects current practices and supports compliance
  • Act as a go-to resource for resolving complex AP issues, including:
    • Invoice Verification & Processing - Ensure accuracy and timeliness in invoice handling
    • Parked Invoice Handling - Investigate and resolve discrepancies to enable proper posting
    • Vendor Reconciliation - Analyze and clear mismatches in vendor accounts
    • GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) Handling - Address and resolve GRIR-related issues
    • Payments Processing - Troubleshoot payment delays or errors and ensure timely execution
  • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Sourcing, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and support process alignment
  • Provide insights and feedback to improve upstream and downstream processes
  • Participate in global projects, system migrations, and new process setups
  • Support ERP testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate process changes and system functionality
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and share recommendations with peers and process owners
  • Contributes to the creation and periodic update of training materials and SOPs to reflect evolving processes

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4-6 years of practical experience managing Accounts Payable operations
  • Proficient working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP/ SAP4 HANA, Oracle, Netsuite, Blackline) for AP processes
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

 

Competencies:

 

  • Academic degree in Finance, Business administration or related field
  • High-level analytical skills with a focus on using technological solutions for core operational issues
  • High-level written and oral presentation and communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a focus on automating repetitive tasks whenever possible
