Vestas SSC provides processing services to Vestas' businesses worldwide, mainly in Finance & Accounting, Master Data Management, Procurement, Global Service Support Center and Remote Operations Center. 

 

The team is under the Global Finance of Vestas Shared Services Centre. 

 

As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the team primarily provides standardized, rule-based services to the region. This refers to the end-to-end processes of fixed assets. The group is expected to have close collaboration with the Regional Finance, Payroll &Treasury Department as well as with the other functions in SSC such as AP/AR/TE & Controlling and Reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in further improvement and optimisation of end-to-end Fixed Asset Accounting processes and procedures in Finance and Accounting (Investment order creation, Capitalization, Settlements, Depreciation & Asset Rollforward) 
  • Handles most complex entities and executes the relevant finance processing of Fixed Assets fully under the defined and agreed Vestas Standard Operating Procedures and following Vestas Financial Guidelines
  • Proactively engage and collaborate with relevant colleagues (i.e., AP/ AR/TE, Controlling and Reporting) and business stakeholders (i.e., Regional Finance, Payroll & Treasury), to solve operational issues and problems with speed and quality
  • Perform analytical review to ensure achievement of KPIs and PPIs for the specific regions assigned
  • Prepares and submits SAP GRC control documentation promptly
  • Act as Deputy Team Lead (1st level of escalation) and as Subject Matter Expert (Operations/Functional) 
  • Assist with Stakeholder Management (e.g. support team on calls/MOR) 
  • Support and assist with queries and focus issue resolution on regions that will be assigned under them 
  • Drive clean-up on Fixed assets and Lease accounts
  • Facilitate/deliver updates on SOPs and highly participate in process hearings
  • Keep process flows for country exceptions of own team up to date, well-documented and described in the global repository
  • Highly involved in both internal and external audits (act as representatives)
  • Act as trainers for New Hires, and promote and facilitate refresher training within/across teams
  • Performs Ad hoc tasks as necessary

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy 
  • With a specific background in Fixed assets, General Ledger functions, Reporting or Controlling 
  • With at least 4 years of working experience in the same field 
  • With BPO or Shared Service experience

 

Competencies

  • White belt trained or with knowledge in process improvement methodologies
  • Preferably with certifications (i.e. CPA, CMA, CIA, etc.) but not required
  • With good communication skills 
  • Problem solving-oriented
  • Flexible and willing to work on holidays as needed and, on any shift, as may be assigned
  • Willing to travel
  • With positive behavior and attitude
  • Can blend well with different kinds of personalities
  • Demonstrates a clear ability to handle one's own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and priorities 
  • Independent and can work with minimal supervision
  • With knowledge of using ERP systems
