As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the team is primarily responsible for providing standardized, rule-based services to the region. This refers to the end-to-end processes of Accounts Receivable. Proactively works with Regional Finance, Treasury, and other SSC functional areas to ensure issues and concerns are addressed positively and in accordance with prescribed deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in further improvement and optimization of AR processes, and procedures in Finance and Accounting
  • Responsible for the quality and timely manual sales order creation, billing invoices, and cash allocation and booking
  • Follow-up and resolve issues for unbilled billing documents, blocked for accounting invoices, and unapplied payments
  • Sends invoice copies to external customers
  • Ensures that all incoming payments are properly allocated and booked in the system on or before the month-end
  • Coordinates with the local counterparts for the specification of other unknown incoming payments
  • Performs customer accounting clearing
  • Performs validation of customer refund requests
  • Perform write-offs
  • Follow-up on outstanding external customer balances
  • Initiates dunning process for external customers
  • Delivers accurate and timely feedback to all external customer-related queries
  • Responsible for the proper reclassification of all prepayment items
  • Responsible for the proper invoice reclassification
  • Provides support to junior accountants in issue resolutions
  • Assist in facilitating on-boarding training for AR high-level process
  • Delivers accurate and timely feedback to all the queries of stakeholders and regional finance
  • Assist and review SAP GRC documentation performed by Jr. Accountant and ensure to upload in SAP GRC on or before the deadline
  • Remediates findings raised by RF and other SSC functions (e.g., incomplete documentation, follow-up, escalation, etc.)
  • Contribute effective process improvement & standardization regularly with compliance with Vestas Global policy
  • Assists in developing training materials and knowledge sharing with team members
  • Assist in the documentation for the VPP maps, and changes in the processes, and ensure that SOP is updated
  • Consolidate and assist in the documentation for country variations (processes that are not yet migrated in SSC)
  • Ensure that OPIs and SLAs are met based on the target. Assist in monitoring OPIs, SLAs, and KPIs
  • 100% participation in team engagement activities. As a lead of each pillar, ensure that each activity is delivered on the agreed timeline with no disruption to the operation. Suggest and support the activities aligned with the goals
  • Provide input and assist in providing the assessment of the FTE capacity. Ensure that FTE capacity trackers are completed quarterly
  • Assist Analyst II in documenting the changes and inform Sr Accountant that updates are needed in the SOP are reflected
  • Identify, update, and assist the Analyst II in the documentation for the cocds and processes that are not yet migrated in SSC. Provide and assist in monitoring the volume
  • Create quick wins and consolidate the necessary documentation

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or other accounting-related course
  • At least two (2) years of experience in order to cash process
  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office tools will be advantageous
  • Must have Problem-Solving, Decision-Making Skills, and Presentation skills
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexible and willing to work on holidays as needed and, on any shift, as may be assigned
  • Independent and can work with minimal supervision
  • With positive behavior and attitude. Can blend well with different kinds of personalities
