As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the role plays a central role in delivering uniform, rule-based services to the region. Specifically, this involves overseeing the entire Intercompany Reconciliation process. The A2R Analyst I takes a collaborative approach, collaborating with Regional Finance and various functional areas within SSC to promptly address issues and concerns and align with specified deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed reconciliation of intercompany accounts between different entities or departments within the organization
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in intercompany accounts, collaborating with relevant teams or subsidiaries to address any outstanding issues
  • Record and document intercompany transactions, including sales, purchases, and loans, in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Contribute to the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all intercompany transactions are accurately recorded
  • Prepare intercompany financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Assist in the consolidation of financial data from various entities for group reporting
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal controls about intercompany transactions
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of intercompany agreements and transactions
  • Continuously evaluate and improve intercompany reconciliation processes and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reconciliation activities
  • Assist internal and external auditors in reviewing intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Provide necessary documentation and explanations during audits
  • Communicate regularly with intercompany partners and stakeholders to ensure transparency and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with other finance and accounting teams for seamless financial operations
  • Assist in documenting intercompany accounting processes and provide training to team members as needed
  • Provide guidance and support to junior associates in resolving issues
  • Assist in the review of SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) documentation carried out by junior associates, ensuring timely uploads as per deadlines
  • Investigate, communicate, and resolve issues related to controls, with a focus on preventing recurring problems and escalating identified risks
  • Take action to address findings raised by RF (Regional Finance) and other SSC (Shared Service Center) functional teams, including follow-up on incomplete documentation and escalations
  • Assist in documenting VPP (Vestas Process Platform) maps, process changes, and maintain up-to-date SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Consolidate and contribute to the documentation of country-specific variations in processes that have not yet migrated to SSC
  • Ensure the achievement of OPIs (Operational Performance Indicators), SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) based on established targets and assist in monitoring them
  • Facilitate comprehensive cross-training, including variations specific to local operations
  • Actively participate in team engagement activities and lead initiatives within each pillar, ensuring timely delivery aligned with team goals
  • Provide input and support in assessing FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) capacity, ensuring the completion of FTE capacity trackers every quarter
  • Collaborate with the Senior Analyst in documenting changes and updates, ensuring that SOP reflects these changes
  • Facilitate the creation of quick wins and consolidate necessary documentation to streamline processes effectively

 

Qualifications

  • Candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or a related field in accounting
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Intercompany accounting
  • Familiarity with SAP and proficiency in MS Office tools will be advantageous
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, effective decision-making skills, and the capability to deliver presentations
  • Enhanced English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A progressive mindset, with a willingness to work on holidays as required and to accommodate shifts as assigned
  • Patient and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Possesses a positive demeanor and attitude and can easily adapt to various personalities and work environments

  • Familiarity with financial software and tools, including accounting software (e.g., SAP) and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel)
  • A mindset for process optimization and the ability to suggest and implement improvements in reconciliation procedures
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently
