The Services Department is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' wind farms, ensuring the optimal performance of each turbine throughout its lifespan. The function is to ensure that the turbines operate at their maximum capacity, delivering the best energy production to our clients. As a key team in maintaining long-term customer loyalty. 
Part of the Service Department, the Special Projects team brings solutions to address situations that we may have not seen before, of large scale & complexity, high risk, high business impact. It's the team that faces the unknown bringing structure and solutions to the situations we face. Our department confidently undertakes projects of varying complexity, risk, and cost.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The Project Lead will act as a facilitator in managing special projects for wind turbine maintenance, seeking to ensure compliance with the scope planned and controlled by the maintenance planning department for main components
  • The professional will actively participate in time management, cost management, procurement of materials and tools, human resources, and quality management, playing a crucial role in sharing strategies to reduce critical activity timelines, serving as an integrator between departments (Planning, Operations, Internal Customer, Service Provider), aiming to promote effective communication.
  • Will be a responsibility to develop indicators and controls to obtain operational data that allow assessments of scenarios for the performance of the in-house or contracted team, seeking to share inputs for MPC (Maintenance Planning and Control) and operations leadership;
  • Also, this role will ensure that the planning flow is followed, from the emergence of demand (Categorizations and Planning and/or continuous improvement projects) to project closure (Repair Report and Approvals);
  • As part of the routine, the Project Lead will conduct kick-off meetings, ensuring smooth communication among project stakeholders.
  • The Project Lead will lead internal improvement projects in the area, proposing new controls or improvements to existing ones, standardization, and process audits involving hold-blocks that hinder the smooth flow of activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate has more than 5 years of proven experience within project management, e.g. in production and/or service companies. Furthermore, we expect that you:
  • Have a technical degree - Will be a plus a relevant BSc in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent;
  • Have experience working in a matrix organization
  • Have professional communication and presentation skills 
  • Good business understanding/analytical skills and good understanding of the value chain
  • Ability to keep the overview and think ahead, but also to appreciate the operational aspects;
  • Write and spoken English skills (Spanish will be a plus)

  • Proven ability to work both individually and in teams in an environment with tight deadlines
  • Open-minded and good at sharing and gathering information within a team
  • Willing to travel for wind farms
