The Field Technical Traine position is within the LATAM Service & Construction Academy, which is responsible for providing world class service to WTGs and clients in the Latin American region. The LATAM service region consists of 11 countries and three sub regions with main offices in Mexico City, Santiago, and Sao Paulo. Latin America is a key growth region for Vestas and has high visibility in the senior management of the company.
The Service & Construction Academy department in ensuring that all major technical projects are implemented and communicated to customers in an efficient and effective manner. In addition to having ownership of all major corrective actions on our turbines, also providing training for the technicians, the SC Academy works to ensure processes optimization and risk mitigation and to provide a technical resources for communicating technical issues to customers.
Responsibilities:
Be reference in Vestas safety and quality culture.
Guarantee high performance in WFs.
Analysis, control and improvements of park performance.
Training the Vestas technicians in field and training centers.
Lead the wind farms commissioning and develop good practices with local team.
Develop and commissioning new tools and solutions.
Develop, review and update work procedures.
Attend the development and development of up tower repairs in Gearbox, generators, and various electricalmechanical systems of a wind turbine.
Review, repair and predictive maintenance of the main components of a wind turbine.
Location and correction of faults and failures.
Support in complex faults in the area.
Lead major components replacement and special tasks.
Execution of special projects for clients
Carring out efficiency improvements, cost reduction projects and operational readness
Ensure cost efficiency, avoid unnecessary expenses
Managing own travels (flying, hotel, site access, mobility issues, etc)
Qualifications:
Degree in engineering or professional training (Technical level).
Valuable experience in a similar position, as in the sectors of mechanics or industrial maintenance.
Ability to work at height and in adverse weather conditions.
Availability to travel 90% outside the work area.
Ability with team work and leadership.
English language: desirable, however needs to have at least a good reading;
Spanish- good level in speaking, listening, reading and writing;
Portuguese- good level in speaking, listening, reading and writing
