Join our dynamic and newly established Tax department for the MED region, based in France. As part of the MED Finance team in Madrid and our global tax function anchored in Copenhagen, you will play a crucial role in shaping our tax strategy and operations. This small, collaborative team offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a global organization.

Responsibilities

As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Engaging with Tax Authorities: Handle audits and tax controversy processes with French tax authorities.
Tax Reporting and Compliance: Evaluate, research, and resolve tax reporting and compliance issues. Devise legal strategies to manage tax liabilities using your thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with Vestas activities to ensure commercial operations align with legal and country-specific frameworks.
Tax Review and Filing: Work closely with the Finance team to review and file taxes accurately and timely.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, business law, taxation, or a related field.
At least 5 years of professional experience in tax advisory, tax authorities, law firms, or corporate tax departments.
In-depth knowledge of French tax law and international tax principles.
Proven experience in handling tax audits and controversy processes.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex tax regulations.

Competencies

Fluency in French and good communication skills in English.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders across different regions.
A consistent approach to identifying and resolving tax-related issues.
Precision in managing tax filings and compliance tasks.
Ability to navigate and adapt to changing tax laws and regulations.
