The Service Commercial Department APAC is overall responsible for promoting continuous and profitable business growth in Service across Asia Pacific (APAC) by selling service solutions for Renewable Energy assets to both new and existing customers.

The different service solutions are typically related to one of the following business areas:

•   Long-term Operations & Maintenance agreements (Maintenance Contracting)

•   Transactional sales of Parts & Repair solutions outside service contracts.

•   Sales of upgrades, performance improvement & end-of-life solutions (Fleet Optimization).

•   Multi-brand operations & maintenance agreements for other OEM wind turbines. 

Target customers are all investors, owners & operators of Renewable Energy assets and especially Wind Turbine Generators (Vestas & non-Vestas) in the APAC region. As a Senior Manager, you are a key member of the Service Commercial Leadership team reporting to the Head of Service Commercial APAC. You will create an innovative customer experience relating to our transactional business. You understand how to maximize the commercial growth of Vestas' Service business and thereby contribute to meeting or exceeding the commercial short and long-term targets of APAC overall. (revenue and contribution margin).

Responsibilities

  • Implementing transactional service sales strategies including an annual budget process that will enable APAC to achieve vision
  • Managing transactional sales portfolio and processes for transactional sales-readiness.
  • Align with Vestas' departments (Supply Chain, Procurement, Parts Enrichment, etc.) to forecast, ensure on-time delivery, on quality, and contribute to work streams that ensure process optimization
  • Represent APAC's inappropriate global forums
  • Ensuring availability and understanding of Sales tools for account/sales teams 
  • Developing eCommerce as the main sales channel & improving customer adoption
  • New parts pricing approach/recommendations/update
  • Improving sales efficiency to free up time for proactive sales
  • Facilitating and supporting complex sales opportunities
  • Ensuring that the regional transactional teams continuously build and maintain a solid pipeline across all business areas
  • Setting goals for the transactional sales teams - ensure budgets are reached and distributed correctly
  • Implement globally aligned tools to maximize sales i.e. Prescriptive Parts Lead Generator, Advanced Material Management
  • Implementing globally aligned pricing strategies for improve efficiency through permanent market feedback and market intelligence
  • Reviewing and implementing final commercial offers (prices/duration/scope)
  • Tracking transactional product/service development, evaluating customer applicability
  • Consolidating Market-Customer feedback for reviewing parts pricing strategy to secure competitiveness
  • Using and optimizing the existing reporting with the associated KPIs in SAP/Salesforce to optimize target setting in responsible markets
  • Ensuring that the regional Spare parts, Time, and Material team continuously builds and maintains a solid pipeline across all business areas
  • Training sales teams in prescriptive sales

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering
  • Service sales and delivery experience including growing a team
  • Minimum 5 years of wind industry experience or parts and repair experience
  • Fluent English written and oral
  • SAP experience is highly desirable
