Vestas MED has decided to appoint a Service Director for France to oversee a 700+ staff department ensuring the maintenance and performance of more than 8GW of Wind Farms. Vestas Mediterranean (MED) is Region within Vestas Wind Systems A/S, covering markets in the Mediterranean region. Vestas MED is responsible for developing these markets in terms of project sales, project installation, and service.
Responsibilities
• Lead the Service division in France
• Ensure integrity and compliance to Code of Conduct in Vestas
• Ensure highest standards of safety and quality are spread throughout the department, promote a culture for safe behavior and provide the organization with the adequate tools, training and work instructions for a safe and quality work.
• Be accountable for the P&L against budget, manage continuous initiatives to cut costs, provide regular reports to the region, including on risks and opportunities
• Ensure, through the Customer Management department, service is delivered to the contracts' terms agreed with customers, handled claims process, if applicable
• Support the Service Sales and Turbines Sales teams, providing input to optimize Vestas's competitiveness
• Be involved in the development of the business anticipating growth optimizing the footprint, ensuring adoption of group defined tools and processes by the teams, working closely with human resources to fulfil the hiring plan, etc.
• Manage the country Operations Managers, Contract Managers, fostering their professional development.
• Communicate effectively, on an as needed basis, with key external stakeholders, including authorities, experts, insurers, etc
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; MBA
• Wide-ranging experience managing service / maintenance operation in major infrastructure environment.
• Management of complex service contracts
• Business and financial acumen, including experience managing a P&L

• Skilled at negotiating with key stakeholders such as clients and contractors.
• Ability to develop, plan, and implement strategic short- and long-range goals.• Effective team leadership skills with ability to facilitate a cooperative work environment, motivate, coach, and coordinate employee development and performance.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of business units in a global organization.
• Professional judgment and high level of integrity.
• Ability to provide guidance and make decisions that balance management of risk with fulfillment of business objective(s)
• Clear capability in conducting analysis and addressing challenging issues
• Ability to develop and encourage positive relationships among stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in a growing and demanding work environment, prioritize among competing urgent matters and allocate resources for maximum results
