Vestas Northern and Central Europe (NCE) is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, Finland, UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and the south part of Africa. We are responsible for sales  project, installation and service of wind farms throughout these regions. The business unit has a head office in Hamburg and a regional office in Malmö, as well as warehouses close to the wind farms across the region.

With these ambitions, a Service Technician holds an important role as the frontline of our service agreements, taking care of the customers’ turbines. Responsibilities
To facilitate our growth, we are looking to hire more resources across Sweden who will join our teams, undertaking service and maintenance of the wind farms across Sweden. The position requires accuracy and professionalism - as the quality and personal safety of our service work is highly considered. To succeed in this role; we believe you possess good knowledge within electricity and mechanics as well as being service- minded. Your responsibilities will be: 

  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Service and maintenance according to agreement, as well as carrying out a diversity of check-ups, repairs and replacement activities of turbine components
  • Efficient operation of our turbines and use of our systems like condition monitoring and remote control
  • Contact with customers regarding completed and upcoming service and repairs 
  • Responsibility of the service vehicle, warehouse, ordering of material, tools and spare parts
  • Daily reporting in SAP 

 

Qualifications 
On the professional level, we believe you have: 

  • Experience or degree within electrical field, mechanics or hydraulics is a requirement. You are also eager to develop your skills within these areas 
  • Good knowledge in Swedish and English is required
  • Computer knowledge, as the tasks includes regular reporting and communication through various systems 
  • Driving licence

  • Good physical condition, able to handle heavy lifts and work on heights

Certain requirements
This position includes travelling for various training as well as assistance in other regions hence high flexibility in terms of travelling and working hours is an absolute requirement. 
Another requirement for this position is passing an extensive health check, which will be carried out during the recruitment process.
