The Bid Quote Plan Transport team is responsible for the strategic quotation of transport service providers who support Vestas with qualified manpower and equipment for the transportation our wind power plants.

Through early engagement of our business partners, we secure the best value transport solution for the development and construction of our EPC and Supply & Installation projects. With a cross functional team of stakeholders, we strategically develop partnerships to enable sustainable growth and provide value for our end customers.

You will be part a team in charge of the strategic transport of a portfolio of projects from early sales and development engagement to final execution.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the transport quotation process throughout the bidding process, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and competitivity transport solutions.
  • Assist and support the Sales and development Business Units with overall transport costs (Local and International), reviewing new agreements, requirements and transports legislations.
  • Ensure that all cost out and value creation opportunities are identified, and that relevant risk assessments are completed and acted upon to reduce risk.
  • Support Sales and development Business Units in new markets with transport perspective and seek for high quality competitive advantages.
  • Maintain and build Vestas' relationship with suppliers and stakeholders, develop transport solutions to meet our project and end customer needs.
  • Participate in developing concepts and new transport strategic solutions to support reducing overall operating costs.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 7 years of extensive and solid experience in cargo transport projects, preferably in a global company in the heavy industry (Energy, Oil&Gas, Heavy Machinery) or in Trade and Consulting (with operational background and hand-on attitude).
  • Education: At least a bachelor's degree in International Relations, International Trade or related field.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of International Trade and transport requirements and legislation.
