Join the newly formed Vestas Blades Process Engineering organisation on the Isle of Wight.

This is a co‑located, collaborative process engineering team dedicated to developing and supporting the wider organisation through deep subject‑matter expertise. The team embeds engineering capability directly into the manufacturing value stream, enabling faster decision‑making, stronger process ownership, and more effective knowledge sharing.

The Infusion Blades Process department within Blades Infusion Engineering is responsible for overseeing the entire infusion process, including PFMEA, risk assessments, and defining process specifications and requirements. The team also develops a strategic process roadmap covering both current operations and future improvements with an intentional focus on standardisation and optimisation. Their goal is to ensure process stability and capability, ultimately enhancing overall business performance.

The department consists of 10 to 12 highly qualified engineers, divided into five specialised teams: Process, Tooling, Documentation, Operational Support, and Training. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Designing and optimizing training material within the Infusion process including analysis of AS IS and future state of our training material and systems, creating Process Roadmap and plans for the present and future states and define training material requirements and specifications if material shall be developed of others
  • Standardization of generic infusion (consumable layup, infusion & curing, debag) training materials
  • Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
  • Investigating and solving training issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams
  • Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools Kaizen to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final training material quality

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar
  • Train the Trainer or other training education
  • 6-8 years experience developing training material mainly for unskilled workers
  • Developing and updating training content, modules, videos, and documents
  • Training of shop floor employees

 

Competencies 

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, blended learning, and experiential training formats
  • You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
  • You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
  • You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
  • Be an active part of cross functional product development projects
  • You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective
  • You are committed to learning
