Group Lead

We are looking for a Group Lead who can inspire and develop a team while ensuring effective collaboration and good results. In this role, you will play a key part in turning strategy into action and creating an environment where both people and performance grow.
Vestas Technology & Operations > Manufacturing > Production > Team Leader
You will be responsible for one of our production areas, where we manufacture components for blade assembly, as well as perform grinding, repair, painting, and blade weighing prior to shipment.
You will lead a team of approximately 40–45 hourly-paid production employees. In close cooperation with the Production Manager and fellow Group Leads, you will ensure that production is delivered safely, with the right quality, and in accordance with the delivery plan.
In Nakskov, the production schedule follows a 3-1-3-7 rotation with 12-hour shifts. This means working Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, followed by a day off on Sunday. You will then work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before having a full week off.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe production environment
- Deliver products in line with defined quality standards
- Ensure the team meets production requirements, including resource allocation
- Ensure employees are trained according to the production training program
- Coordinate 5S implementation, including waste management on site
- Maintain correct use of production planning systems (software and hardware)
- Provide continuous motivation and leadership development for the team
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills, with fluency in Danish and English (written and spoken)
- The motivation and personality to inspire and coach your team toward agreed KPIs
- Understanding of safety and quality processes, including reporting
- A team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work in a matrix organization and maintain a holistic view
- Solid development and improvement skills, with the ability to identify and implement new processes
- Attention to detail, combined with the ability to maintain an overview and delegate effectively
- Ability to adjust behavior to new information, changing situations, and different environments
Competencies
- You thrive in a changing organization
- You are both people- and process-oriented, and work in a structured manner
- You collaborate effectively across cultures
- You have solid people management experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g. chemical or mechanical processes)
- Experience with Six Sigma and a good understanding of 5S
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience
