Manufacturing & Global Procurement-> Global Manufacturing > NPI Quality
The NPI Quality Department which is part of the Global Manufacturing organization in Vestas, is overall responsible for securing Quality deliverables in NPI (New Product Introduction) Projects. The team, which consists of 5 employees located at different manufacturing sites, supports problem solving and provides input to improvements at Vestas NPI factories while also being responsible for the transfer of knowledge to serial production facilities as well as sharing best business practices and alignment between factories, modules, and regions.
 

Responsibilities
As a NPI Quality Specialist your primary responsibilities are:

  • Drive the Quality deliverables in NPI (New Product Introduction)
  • Drive continuous improvement projects
  • Raise the Quality awareness in the organization
  • Set up cross functional communication in entire value chain
  • Problem solving for non-conformities and follow up actions
  • Transfer of knowledge to different serial production facilities
  • Support the serial production in NPI Factory

 

Qualifications

  • An engineering degree at bachelor’s or master’s level preferably electrical and mechanical
  • Solid experience working as an engineer/Specialist in a manufacturing company, preferably Generator or Motor production
  • Quality management system knowledge ( ISO 9001, 16949 )
  • Knowledge of Quality Core tools ( APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, QCP, SPC,8D, 6σ, VDA etc. ) 
  • Enterprise software knowledge ( ERP, PLM, PDM, DMS, 8D, MS Office, BI etc. )
  • Project management experience and knowledge is plus ( Prince2, PMP )
  • Fluent in English and German is plus

Additional information
Your primary work location is at our Generator Factory in Travemünde, Germany. 

Travel to other manufacturing sites is required for knowledge transfer.
