Vestas LATAM is an independent business unit of Vestas Wind Systems, responsible for the Latin American markets. It is to develop these markets in terms of sales, project installation and customer service.
The Service Department is responsible for the proper functioning of our clients' wind farms, and for guaranteeing the maximum performance of each wind turbine throughout its useful life. In addition, it ensures that the wind turbines operate at their maximum capacity and generate maximum power for customers. Consequently, this team is essential to maintain customer loyalty in the long term.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of a team of Service Technicians to ensure that they carry out their work effectively, safely and to the required standards
- Use KPIs to monitor team and individual performance and take action as appropriate to share goal completions, address shortfalls and make improvements
- Follow up with customers regarding performance of turbines and quality of work
- Optimize availability through control and approval of holiday requests and management of absence against capacity requirements
- Conduct QSE audits in co-operation with the QSE department
- Ensure effective two way communication between Service Technicians and the Regional Office.
- Development of Service Technicians including annual appraisals, identification of training needs and delivery of on-site training and coaching on best practice to create and maintain a high performance team.
- Participate in the selection of new Service Technicians
- Together with Customer Manager perform face to face customer contact
- Support planning to ensure resources available at all times. Have regular meeting with planner to ensure plans are on target.
- Carry on SO management process once created
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Naval Engineering
- Prior strong SAP knowledge and practical experience is required
- Skills in business understanding and information / datanalysis
- At least 3 years industry applicable experience
