The main objective of the cost control team is to optimize the use of financial resources to maximize profitability and ensure long-term financial sustainability of the Service Organization by controllnig Service Contract Planned Costs (Backlog) and ensuring they are reliable according to Global SCM evolution and Operational Expertise. In scope: monitor and manage the costs associated with the day-to-day operations and handle the recurrent maintenance of the Planned Costs, in compliance with Financial Guidelines.

 

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Manage and monitor in detail of the hourly rate composition (by item)
  • Review and approval of every cost impacting the hourly rate account.
  • Follow up with finances of all the cost allocations.
  • Monitoring all site expenses (Phonelines, training, facilities, fleet, travel, utilities, etc) and ensure adherence to budget guidelines, monitoring potential risks and acting as necessary to avoid additional impacts for the subregion.
  • Own the analysis and challenge the allocations charged to the contracts from the support departments (Supply Chain, Transport, Service Operations, Service Sales, etc)
  • PR first approver to ensure correct allocation of cost 
  • Lead all the necessary trainings for the cost center, projects PR control and generate the required manuals ensuring the general knowledge if the parameters that must comply for the creation of the different types of PR´s.
  • Control of PR´s in the subregion cost center and projects in a daily basis ensuring the reporting on demand of the status, R&O, tendencies and seasonality.

 

Qualifications and competencies

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Finance, Control & Accounting roles. Ideally with a solid understanding of long-term projects or PM experience with performance management concepts.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (diploma etc.) in Corporate Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related analytical field.
  • English proficiency, written and spoken.
  • Combined with a significant experience in operations, finance department or performance management.
  • Strategical mindset with solid stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong skills in business understanding and information / data analysis
  • Good understanding of the wind industry or similar industries.
  • Experience with PPI, data analysis and insights delivery.
  • Good knowledge on Power BI tool and desirable programming (any language).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (specially Excel).
  • Systematic and Inquisitive skills
  • Ability to work accordingly to procedures, deadlines and timelines
  • Goal oriented, highly committed way of working and self-planning skills
  • A convincing cross-functional communicator who knows how to mobilize people in a global and matrix organization

  • Good investigative skills including the ability to evaluate and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with issues creatively and achieve business-focused solutions.
  • Proactiveness, resilience and adaptability to changes in work procedures and new projects
