Team Leader, Reporting and Compliance

A result-driven leader to be responsible for monitoring and supervising a finance team to achieve organization´s goals and ensuring tax compliance and compliance at local and Vestas level. To be responsible for providing guidance, training and leadership skills so the team can perform at their optimum.

Vestas Finance partners the business, analyses, and provides relevant information for the good progress of the projects and contracts developed by Vestas and plays an important role in administration process within the organization

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing accounting operations for entities under scope, evaluating and supervising risk.
  • Ensure taxes are correctly calculated and ensure compliance with all local tax requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of Actuals, Forecasts and Budgets.
  • Evaluating financial statements on monthly basis and ensuring accuracy of financial information in Mexico and some countries belonging to Central America
  • Make sure team follows an efficient and accurate closing process, submitting Monthly and Annual Reporting Packages in due time.
  • Monitor the reconciliation process for both Balance Sheet and P&L Statement when applicable.
  • Safeguard the integrity of actual results which must follow Vestas GAAP. Be informed of any updates regarding Vestas IFRS accounting guidelines.
  • Compare actuals versus budget, analyze and explain deviations.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external Audit Processes.
  • Support in local tax audits.
  • Coordinate work relationship with external consultant.
  • Document and include back up for all postings, internal agreements, processes and procedures.
  • Secure innovative engagement with stakeholders.
  • Supervise, coordinate, train and motivate the team.

 

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Accounting.
  • Proven experience in finance, audit (4 years), budgeting and accounting (4 years).
  • Solid knowledge on Mexican Regulation (Tax & Compliance).
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and Mexican GAAP.
  • Fluent English is necessary.
  • Experience as team leader.
  • Experience working with Central America is desirable.
  • Experience working with SAP or other ERP is desirable.
