Vestas Wind are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Service Sales Account Manager to join our friendly and high achieving team in Melbourne.

 

Our Service Sales Manager works in a collaborative, knowledgeable team to provide prospective and existing customers with excellent solutions to their business needs through sales of the right mix of service and innovative products. The foundations of this role are commercial B2B sales and people skills.

 

Service Sales grow the Vestas Service business across Australia and New Zealand by providing solutions to meet the operations and maintenance needs that owners and operators of renewable wind energy assets express in dialogue and negotiation with us. In summary, the Service Sales Manager builds and maintains a positive commercial relationship with customers and the service organisation as a whole. It does this by creatively responding to customer requests for information and proposals. Its ultimate responsibility is to create and follow up contractual offers and complex quotes that describe service scope of works and other terms & conditions critical to success.

 

You will have the opportunity to explore why and how Vestas wind turbines continue to be the industry standard of well-maintained and efficiently operated wind turbines. You'll enjoy the challenge of developing and using your financial acumen to be able to create sound commercial proposals that bring value to the customer and to Vestas. You will achieve very high value, well thought out B2B sales success while enjoying being able to demonstrate quick thinking adaptability during negotiation of high value contracts.
Our clients must be met face to face with clear proposals and creative ideation. As the solution proponent you'll travel to customers to engage and educate through verbal and written business dealings.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or an advanced business-oriented degree will be highly regarded but not essential
  • At least 5 years of experience in a customer facing B2B sales environment
  • Full professional working proficiency in English, both oral & written (tertiary level)
  • Good user of Excel, and other MS Office
  • Prior experience in working with SAP-ERP and Salesforce a strong advantage

  • Proven leadership skills,
  • Good communication in creation and negotiation of complex commercial offers
  • Ability to perform high-level business analysis to identify key value levers
  • Ability to discuss technical issues and concepts (mechanical, electrical, software control systems, etc)
  • Ability to operationalize KPI
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and financial literacy (key concepts)
  • Diligence and attention to detail
  • Team-player attitude
  • Ability to discuss general technical issues and concepts (mechanical, electrical, software control systems, etc) 
  • Professional commercial experience in sales project coordination in a technical industry
