Vestas Australia is seeking a proactive, adaptable and commercially driven Lead Sales Manager to join our dynamic Commercial Sales team. The Sales Team for Australia & New Zealand leads all commercial activities from early customer engagement through to negotiation and signature of billion-dollar wind farm contracts. We work across varied stakeholders, business models and markets - so no two days are the same.

Responsibilities
- Build strong, trusted relationships with customers and understand their needs to develop tailored, value-creating solutions
- Lead the sales process from early engagement through tendering, value engineering, and final negotiation
- Coordinate and manage competitive tenders, ensuring timely progression through internal governance and decision gates
- Work closely with internal specialists - engineering, construction, supply chain, legal, finance and others - to deliver high-quality proposals
- Develop commercial, bidding and negotiation strategies in partnership with Sales Leadership
- Lead commercial negotiations and translate complex technical inputs into clear contractual outcomes
- Coordinate cross-functional deal teams and drive continual improvement in sales approaches, tools and processes
- Balance multiple priorities, adapt to shifting circumstances and maintain momentum in long sales cycles
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, law, finance or a related discipline
- 10+ years' experience in commercial, project management or sales roles, ideally within wind, power, infrastructure or construction
- Experience in commercial negotiations and in managing complex or long-cycle sales processes
- Ability to understand and translate complex commercial/technical issues into clear contractual frameworks
