SCADA & Cyber Security Department is part of Power Plant Solutions under regional CTO APAC, and supports the organization in selling, installing, and servicing a large number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.

 

Responsibilities

 

The skills suitable for this position, is the capability to carry out detailed engineering of the SCADA/PPC system, SCADA/PPC installation, and configuration:

 

  • Creation and review of Technical Requirement Specifications, Design Descriptions,
  • Creation and review of Test & Verification Procedures and Reports,
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance for installed SCADA/PPC systems,
  • On-call technical support to remote sites,
  • Report on system status and coordination for updates,
  • The SCADA Engineer will be the primary one point of contact for the SBU Region for all SCADA/PPC activities including technical advisory and collaborating with the APAC SCADA team and global SCADA regardless of the project phase (Sales, Construction, or Service).
  • Ordering of hardware, Factory Acceptance Testing at local warehouse,
  • PPC Installation; PPC product configuration and commissioning; Implementation of PPC-FDS including implementation of MIMICs and implementation of control loops,
  • PPC Implementation description which is documented, reviewed, and approved. Both in Word and within the PPC including revision notes and history tracking,
  • PPC Product Commissioning Report including Site Acceptance Testing,
  • Development of PPC operation manual,
  • PPC system commissioning, including internal testing according to PPC FDS and Test Plan, including official testing with local TSO/TNSP,
  • Assist with extraction of test data and reviewing of commissioning reports prepared by Grid teams.

 

Qualifications 

 

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Communication, Programming, Electrical Engineering and/or Control Systems with 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent:

 

  • Knowledge of Studio 5000 Logix Designer, ControlLogix and structured text, minimally at a level corresponding to the Rockwell trainings,
  • Experience in working with SCADA systems, preferably in Wind Power Plants or the power industry,
  • Experience in AB PLC programming and automation,
  • Experience with communication Protocol (MODBUS, DNP, OPC, IEC, etc.),
  • Experience with designing and commissioning an Industrial Control System,
  • Basic knowledge of Power systems. Expert knowledge is an advantage,
  • Experience working with AEMO, NEM and WEM,
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft OS, Server, and SQL including administrative functionalities,
  • Awareness to IEC 62443 cyber security standards for OT (operational technology) in automation and control system is a bonus.
  • Australian or International Driver's License.

  • MSCE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) & HP server experience preferred,
  • Ability to manage and influence activities with internal and external customers,
  • Fluent in English and strong verbal and written abilities,
  • Effectively communicate across all levels within the organization regarding complex technical and commercial issues
  • Ability to work in an environment using a decentralized team-based approach,
  • Good communication and presentation skills,

  • Excellent with customers.
