The Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading a team of Electrical Supervisors to safely and successfully deliver the EBoP commissioning scope in compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.


Responsibilities: 

As the Commissioning Subject Matter Expert (SME), the role provides technical leadership and oversight for all electrical commissioning activities, ensuring that systems are planned, coordinated, tested, energized, and commissioned in accordance with customer specifications, applicable regulations, Vestas standards, and project objectives.

The EBoP Commissioning Manager is accountable for ensuring safe execution, quality delivery, schedule adherence, and effective stakeholder coordination throughout the commissioning phase. This includes managing interfaces with internal project teams, contractors, clients, and grid operators, while driving compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement to achieve successful project outcomes.


Qualifications:

Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering
A grade electrical licence 


Competencies:

•    Leadership of Electrical project engineering/supervisory teams, contractors, designers, and consultants
•    Practical and structured electrical project management capability
•    Strong experience in:
   
Transmission lines

•    Pooling substations
•    HV/MV reticulation systems
•    Ability to negotiate and interface with clients, contractors, authorities, and OEMs
•    Ability to operate effectively in high pressure project environments
•    Wind farm construction experience highly regarded
•    Advanced proficiency in MS Office
•    Experience with document control systems (e.g., TeamBinder)
•    Strong written and verbal communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
•    High level of commercial awareness and risk management capability

KPI's:

•    Manage and ensure that all Electrical Balance of Plant designs are adequately reviewed, verified, and implemented in compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety legislation.
•    Ensure full alignment of the EBoP construction scope with agreed contractual scope, customer expectations, and subcontractor deliverables.
•    Define, review, and enforce minimum Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) in line with approved design, construction methodology, and commissioning requirements for all electrical infrastructure.
•    Lead and coordinate stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of EBoP construction activities.
•    Ensure EBoP systems are designed and constructed to meet construction safety, operational safety, and lifecycle reliability requirements.
•    Lead and facilitate Safety in Design (SiD) workshops, ensuring risk identification, mitigation, and traceability.
•    Provide leadership and Project oversight to the portfolio of Project Engineers, supporting design reviews, issue resolution, and capability uplift of site engineering teams.
•    Act as the electrical project matter expert, engaging internal teams, consultants, OEMs, and contractors to resolve technical, design, and constructability challenges.
