Planning Manager - Nordics

Vestas Northern & Central Europe is a Sales Business Unit of Vestas responsible for sales, project construction, and service in Northern Europe. Our service organisation in Sweden and Finland works in a professional and efficient way to secure the operation and maintenance of our customers’ turbines. 


The Planning Manager will be part of a regional team and you will get the responsibility for the planning team in a defined geographical region. You will also be an important part in securing and delivering products and service to meet our customer's expectations for the region and the future beyond this.


Responsibilities
Your tasks will primarily be: 

  • Lead the planning team in Sweden and supporting the Team in Finland
  • Analyse requirements and ensure that the service and other work schedules are planned. Allocating and directing resources for unplanned schedules in Sweden and supporting Finland
  • Ensure effective communication of planned activity both internally and externally
  • Create a comprehensive weekly work package of work orders for each service technical team
  • Ensure material availability, ordering additional supplies as required to ensure all materials are available when required
  • Recruitment, development and retention of all employees within your area. Resource planning and logistical issues
  • Ensure work orders are set up for all incoming jobs and contain necessary documentation

Qualifications

  • You have a technical background and experience in planning of technical services or from a logistics or field dispatch related service environment
  • A minimum of 3 years of leadership experiences within a planning field is expected
  • Excellent planning skills and you are numerate and analytical with good problem-solving skills
  • You remain calm under pressure and are able to manage peaks and a heavy workload
  • You have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills both in English as well as the other Scandinavian languages

Additional information
Primary work location is Malmö. There will be some travelling activities involved across the region.
