Plant Engineering Operations is a part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) of the Vestas Group and supports the organization in the installation and service of a great number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large-sized wind power plants. Our job is to turn a cluster of wind turbines into a power plant according to contractual and regional requirements.
Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors. As a Cyber Security Expert, you will be a part of the NCE Plant Engineering team responsible for commissioning and maintaining Vestas SCADA solutions and other automated functionalities in our power plants in compliance with Vestas standards and customer requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer and contribute to optimizing and improving our products. You will also support our growing business by providing technical advice and input to the overall strategy. As a Security architect, you will provide architectural support for the team working on our construction and service solutions inside NCE Plant Engineering. You will be part of the ongoing development and coordinate cyber security opportunities across a diverse suite of ICS components.
 

Responsibilities

  • Implementing, supervising, monitoring and upgrading security measures for the protection of the OT devices in our Wind Power Plants
  • Mapping Cyber Security requirements to a Generic Cyber Security architecture that is durable and trusted
  • Designing future Cyber Security architecture for our solutions (lifecycle, end-2end)
  • Engaging with our value chain representatives to ensure alignment on the architecture for all stages in the lifecycle, from production through commissioning to service operations
  • Providing an architecture with the agreed-upon balance between security posture and usability
  • Ensuring that the OT data and infrastructure is protected by enabling the appropriate security controls

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or related
  • Detailed knowledge of industry standards within this area, primarily IEC 62443 and IEC 62351
  • Experience with Python/Bash/PowerShell and or other scripting languages/tools is good to have
     

Competencies

  • Great awareness of cyber security trends and hacking techniques
  • Knowledge about computer forensics analysis, ethical hacking, security testing, etc.
  • Fluency in technical English both oral and in writing; German skills is beneficial
  • Leadership skills, Respecting Safety, Collaboration and Accountability

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Malmö, Sweden. You should expect some travel activity, approximately 30 days per year.
