This position is part of the Supplier Quality & Development in Vestas MED region, which coordinates SQ&D activities and ensures the highest focus on quality, safety and environment when developing and implementing the different category strategies while not compromising on agreed processes and the lowest total cost of ownership. The key task is the strategic and operational development of key suppliers in South Europe, Turkey, Middle East & Africa region by performing site audits, supplier assessments and coordinating QSE improvement projects to enforce high supplier performance, zero incidents and reduce the number non-conformities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deploy the Vestas Quality, Safety and Environment Strategy towards external suppliers
  • Coordinate supplier quality, capability, and performance topics on behalf and in compliance with regional & global strategy
  • Implement new markets entry strategy & new supplier onboarding ensuring Vestas processes are followed
  • Secure agreement with regional QHSE & Construction team for completion of supplier improvement activities.
  • Coordinate QSE activities in cases of non-quality performance and incidents with suppliers in line with Vestas requirements.
  • Drive Supplier Business Review Meetings with cross-functional participation
  • Ensure that relevant QSE agreements with suppliers are in place
  • Coordinate and conduct supplier development projects and supplier local initiatives
  • Coordinate and conduct QHSE audits and prepare-present executive report
  • Travel expected to be approximately 50 days per year.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience gained on similar position
  • Experience in oil & gas, wind, offshore or construction business
  • Experience with supplier management and improving projects on quality, process or safety area
  • Previous experience and knowledge of wind turbine installation or construction sites , but not a must
  • Engineering degree is required.
  • Certified auditor/lead auditor ISO or other standards
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or other quality-safety certifications will be advantage

  • Ability to prioritize & organize different work fronts, also in a time-sensitive setting
  • Good meeting facilitator with the ability to work on all organizational levels
  • Good project management skills with the ability to guide complex development projects across the organization (external key suppliers)
  • Competency in data analytics
  • Good Problem-Solving skills
  • High degree of interpersonal skills to communicate and coordinate discussions across organization and at different organizational level
  • Solid English skills in both speech and writing
  • Proactivity, collaboration and enthusiasm
