About the deparment:

The Project Development Commercial & Origination team originates, values, and commercializes renewable energy projects across Europe. We work across the full lifecycle—from greenfield origination and early-stage feasibility, through development, to project sale, often alongside Vestas turbine supply.

In this role, you will not just crunch numbers; you will directly shape investment decisions. You will own the financial architecture of our renewable energy pipeline and run the analytical engine behind high-profile M&A processes, working closely with local project teams and senior stakeholders to enhance project value.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Modelling & Valuation: Build and maintain financial models and valuations across development stages, from early-stage project screening through to Ready-to-Build (RTB) status

  • Asset Lifecycle Updates: Continuously update and refine valuations as projects progress through permitting, grid connection, and technical milestones

  • M&A Execution & Process Management: Prepare high-quality M&A materials (Teasers, Information Memoranda / CIMs, Investment Committee and strategic presentations). Manage transaction infrastructure, including investor lists (for validation), NDAs, outreach, follow-up, and the Virtual Data Room (VDR)

  • Transaction Support & Closing: Coordinate and manage the Q&A process throughout transactions, and support SPA negotiation and closing through checklist tracking and Q&A management

  • Commercial Structuring & Origination: Support origination and early-stage structuring of new pipeline opportunities (including feasibility studies, Joint Ventures, and DSAs)

  • Portfolio & Strategic Analysis: Prepare portfolio and strategic analysis to support prioritization decisions across markets

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering: Work directly with country Project Managers on value creation, budget allocation, prioritization, and development questions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field

  • Experience: 1–3 years in renewable energy development, project finance, infrastructure M&A, or a comparable analytical role

  • Financial Modelling: Sound financial modelling skills with experience with project finance models (a financial modelling exercise will be part of the selection process)

  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the wind project lifecycle (from development through RTB and sale), main valuation levers, and key value drivers of wind OEM technology (competition, turbine platforms, rotor sizes, power ratings, site-fit) and how they affect project value and commercialization

  • Transaction Exposure: Some exposure to M&A processes and transaction workstreams is an advantage

  • Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken) is required. Knowledge of another European language (Spanish, Italian, etc.)

Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Reads carefully, understands core mechanisms, and ensures work is accurate and reliable without skimming

  • Ownership & Accountability: Takes full ownership of analysis and conclusions, with the confidence to explain and defend them

  • Commercial Judgment: Sound commercial and financial judgment; ability to evaluate data carefully and translate analysis into clear, actionable business conclusions

  • Agility: Comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously across different markets and development stages

  • Effective Communicator: Effective and professional when engaging with project managers, external counterparties, and senior stakeholders

  • Pragmatic under Uncertainty: Practical and solution-oriented when dealing with changing variables or shifting project environments

  • Driven and motivated: Ready to contribute in a lean, collaborative setting and expand into a wider role

Main KPIs for the Role

  • Quality and timeliness of M&A materials and process management

  • Value realized in project divestments relative to internal benchmarks

  • Quality and accuracy of financial models and valuations

  • Timely, high-quality commercial input provided for strategic investment decisions

  • Contribution to pipeline and portfolio prioritization

As part of our team, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including:
