The Strategic Service Account Director maintains and expands relationships with strategically important large customers. Potentially assigned to two or three strategic accounts (EDF, EDPr, ENGIE, ACTIS, Orsted, Equinor or Iberdrola), Strategic Account Director is responsible for achieving service sales quota and assigned strategic account goals.

 

The Strategic Account Director represents the entire range of company service products while developing the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company. The Strategic Service Account Senior Director reports to the Global Head of Service Strategic Accounts

 

 

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance expectations and customers’ expectations.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable onshore and offshore service sales volume and strategic targets in assigned accounts.
  • Guides the strategic account planning process, ensuring the development of shared performance goals, revenue targets, and significant deadlines.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Management solution development efforts to create new specific service solutions that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Supports the growth, profitability, and governance of offshore service sales in line with Vestas’ expectations by providing customer knowledge and experience.
  • Working with Pricing Department, introducing and setting the Fair Value Capture concept into Offshore Service Sales.
  • To facilitate coordination and strategy sales-service alignment for key WTG sales processes.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Master/bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Will be required to demonstrate commercial/sales management skills and, ideally, a high level of Wind Energy market knowledge.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Offshore is advantageous.
  • Should be a leader, highly motivated, proactive, and team collaborator
  • Great negotiations skills are a must for the position.
  • Based in Madrid / Hamburg or Copenhagen are preferred locations.
  • The candidate must have at least 7 years of experience on technical sales on industrial environments, with experience in selling services and products.

This position reports to the Global Head of Service Strategic Accounts. Enlists the support of WTG Sales Managers, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed and closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management, supporting and coordinating regular QBR meetings, providing with status and KPI follow up reports.
