The Financial Solutions department is a global department within the Vestas organization. We create business value by providing high-quality Financial Solutions and Support and we continuously aim at being a High Value Adding department actively supporting Sales, Service and Global Development through the development of creative solutions for implementing Vestas' strategy - and ensuring real business and economic value.

 

Responsibilities
As a Specialist (Manager) located in Madrid the primary focus will be the entire Mediterranean region which include the following sub-regions:

  • SEUT (Spain, France, Italy, Greece, and Turkey) 
  • Middle East
  • Africa

Further responsibilities are:

  • Arrange financings and financial solutions (equity, construction and long term / PF debt, mezzanine, take-outs) in selected cases. Structuring, negotiating, and closing of SPAs and debt facilities. Work in close relation with customers seeking financing solutions, connect customers to different funding sources, equity investors, commercial banks, export credit agencies, and multilaterals
  • Support or coordinate on project M&A in different development stages and closing of the transactions. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships to brokers, investment banks, investors, and lenders to understand available financing options 
  • Financial Modelling. Able to propose different scenarios based on different assumptions, evaluate the profitability of projects, propose various financing alternatives, and generate graphs of each of the proposed scenarios
  • Support our customers in interactions with financial community through the turbine and service sales process and project execution. Coordination of entire sales and financing process including Data Room, Info Memo or project teaser and the entire Due Diligence.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in Economics/ Business Administration/ Engineering
  • Postgraduate studies will be specially considered (MBA, CFA or specific Finance master studies)
  • At least 5-10 years' professional experience and project M&A (sales of project SPVs) and Project Finance / ECA Finance in infrastructure or renewable projects from an international or global company undertaking similar responsibilities as the specific ones detailed above for this position

 

Competencies

  • High financial modelling skills and valuation knowledge will be required. Interpret the results of financial models and make appropriate recommendations to Management
  • Experience handling internal & external stakeholders
  • High personal attitude, independent work style, result-oriented and with well adaptation to changing environments 
  • Professional commitment to accountability and cooperating, and experiences in matrix organizations
