Our Finance MEA department oversees all financial operations for Vestas in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), within the broader Mediterranean region. You'll join a multicultural team with colleagues based in Kenya, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa — and now we’re looking for you to join the team from Madrid.
Responsibilities
- Support the monthly and annual financial closing process, ensuring accurate reporting for MEA countries.
- Coordinate with local advisors and Vestas teams to ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., Value Added Tax – VAT, Corporate Income Tax – CIT, and Withholding Tax – WHT).
- Assist auditors by preparing the necessary financial documents and meeting deadlines.
- Ensure that tax filings and other legal financial reports are submitted correctly and on time.
- Work closely with our Shared Services Center in Manila to handle daily transactions and month-end processes.
- Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Manage day-to-day communication with banks and other financial institutions.
- Act as a link between the business in MEA and our finance support teams to solve financial issues and improve processes.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field.
- 3–5 years of experience in financial control, tax, or audit roles.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and local tax laws.
- Experience working with SAP and reporting tools like BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation).
- Fluency in English – As the official language of Vestas and our main working language across global teams, proficient English skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Arabic and French is positive– These are the most widely spoken languages in the MEA (Middle East & Africa) region, and having additional language skills will help you connect more effectively with local partners and stakeholders.
