Vestas are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Inventory Coordinator to work with our supply chain team in Lyndhurst as well as the extended department throughout the APAC region.

 

The Vestas Service Supply chain department is responsible for delivering Spares and Main Components for maintenance of the wind turbines in multiple windfarms in AUZ. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our success. This is a full time salaried position based at our spare parts warehouse in Lyndhurst Victoria.

 

The Supply Chain Coordination Team in ANZ has an important part in supporting our Service and Construction departments in the region. You act as the single point of contact for the business in the delivery of parts and your main responsibility is to ensure on time deliveries. The Inventory Coordinator holds a critical role in coordination of the end-to-end Service Supply Chain and in the processing of material demand, especially for urgent and exception orders.

 

The role demands close collaboration and coordination not only with Service and Construction but also across the end-to-end supply chain, locally as well as globally. Whereas the job requires adherence to established processes, it is often dynamic and requires an ability to cope with new situations and resolve a variety of problems. The many interfaces with other departments give the team a high visibility within the organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for the business to secure on time material deliveries
  • Monitor open material demand, supply and inventories, take action when required
  • Execute, supervise and coordinate the delivery of Priority Orders and Exception Orders
  • Support the Service Business with the sale of parts
  • Serve as main entry point in terms of spare part price/Leadtime/documentation on tenders/contracts/projects with special focus on Emerging Markets
  • Assist in resolution of Non-Conformities
  • Be accountable for the department's main KPIs and take necessary actions to improve performance
  • Represent the Supply Chain Department in front of regional and global stakeholders

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field or a combination of related experience and education
  • Minimum 4+ years working in Global Supply Chain networks
  • Background in planning and procurement activities to support manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and SAP)

  • Ability to effectively participate in a cross-functional team
  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
  • Competency to establish targets and translate them into actionable plans
  • A passion to work with people, to promote by influence and by motivating and empowering
  • Working knowledge of global, multi-modal freight and logistics solutions
  • Lean experience; VSM, Kanban, 5S
  • Detailed and in-depth background of MRP and Enterprise Systems - preferably SAP
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and accept new ideas and changing initiative
