The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department aims to support the business by providing a HSE System to understand their HSE risk profile, identify local legislative HSE requirements and contractual requirements and develop, implement, monitor and improve appropriate plans and controls to ensure effective management of HSE and improvement of HSE culture.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate employees' and contractor employees' HSE performance Motivate and coach others to improve HSE leadership and culture.
  • Conducting training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention. -Prepare presentations and necessary documents for external audits, such as client, Government, our company, and third-party audits, and attend these audits as required.-Developing and implementing health and safety plans in the workplace in accordance with legal guidelines in Japan is essential. (Regular updates are necessary to ensure the plans remain current and effective.)
  • Monitoring all HSE procedures and recommending strategies to avoid all accidents and implement all health and safety hazards for all sites.
  • Investigate/follow-up accidents, incidents and near-miss occurrences and assist with writing reports and issuing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of operational risk assessments to help in identifying & mitigating hazards for critical activities as Japan requirements.
  • Overseeing, directing, and managing all HSE&S Site inspections, whether regulatory or not, until the action plans are completed.
  • Leading the projects operations team to the overall administration and implementation of HSE Initiatives, programs and procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • Have relevant academic or technical background.
  • Taiwan Occupational Safety Card, Will consider if completed either OSHA course, NEBOSH General, or similar course。
  • Class B (Occupational Safety and Health Management Technician)

 

Competencies

  • Read, speak and understand Taiwanese and English language。
  • Minimum 3-5 years work experience with QHSE from relevant fields of industry (offshore wind) Good English skills in written and writing Comply with Global Wind Organization Standard Basic Safety Training and medical requirements.
  • IT literate (Microsoft office packages)
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001
