Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global PE Blades > Mould & Assembly engineering
Vestas is a global name in the renewable energy sector, committed to innovation in wind energy solutions. As a Lead engineer you will have an important role enabling the development of new manufacturing solutions. Concepting and Validation for assembly tools for blades manufacturing on internally and externally factories. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across COO, VPS and external suppliers to optimize the tools allowing the receiving factory to fulfill their production plan.
 

Responsibilities
In this role you will be involved in the development, specifications, and commissioning of large and complex tools for wind turbine blade manufacturing.
Your primarily responsibilities:

  • Developing and specifying requirement and verifications plan for new tools
  • Performing design review on supplier design
  • Conduct FAT, SAT and be a part of tool commissioning onsite on a global environment
  • Representing Blades PE tooling onsite and being able to troubleshoot issues at hand

 

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree, either Bachelor or Master level
  • DK/EU equivalent drivers license 

      We also prefer some of the following:

  • Experience from larger manufacturing companies
  • Experience in development and delivering larger manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge from manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing
  • Experience with composite blades build processes
  • Experience with lifting tools

Up to 80 travel days might be required per year
