If you are motivated to develop innovative software solutions in the context of large-scale machinery, have experience in embedded software, and take pride in delivering high-quality work, you could be the candidate we are looking for. Join our highly motivated Turbine Control Software team. We contribute to both new solution development and the continuous improvement of legacy fleet performance and serviceability.
Our team consists of software engineers based in India, Portugal and Denmark, taking full responsibility for all aspects of software delivery.
Responsibilities
As an Assistant Lead Software Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate closely with team members, the wider organization, and internal stakeholders across R&D and installed fleet regions
- Develop and implement software functionality in line with stakeholder needs and team priorities
- Continuously monitor product performance in prototypes and the installed fleet to identify improvement opportunities and perform root cause analysis of field issues
- Maintain a customer and quality-first mindset within our continuously evolving delivery and quality monitoring framework
- Share ownership of solution areas within the team and take responsibility as a Feature Lead in alignment with agile prioritization and planning
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software, processes, and engineering best practices
- Grow into a technical reference within the team for your areas of responsibility or module-wide topics through cross-team collaboration and guild activities aligned with your skills and interests
Qualifications
- MSc or BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Solid experience with C/C++ development best practices
- Good understanding of object-oriented design and state machine-based software designInitial professional experience (early-career level)
- Minimum B2 level in English
- Experience with scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, or Bash
- Experience with Git, Jira, and other Atlassian toolsExperience with or background in embedded software development
